And owen somehow surviving running through ash and him being paralyzed scene was a little to goofy. I know it’s Jurassic but the movies always tried to ground themselves In reality when it came to the human characters I feel like at least. But I do agree the movie tried to be more horror focused as much as I like dominion even I know it’s the weakest of the trilogy maybe even the whole franchise depending who you ask. Now I do wanna hear more of your opinions so feel free.

@alexorozco163 Yeah the smile is Looney Toons, but I actually like the smile because it adds more personality on the Indoraptor being different than any "normal" dinosaur. Also, it's meant to add comedy for the audience to laugh before the attack sequence that gives audience sense of fright and shock. Look at the Dilphosaurus from JP. It decides to play peek a boo with Nedry behind a tree. It's funny and just as cartoony, but it becomes scary once it attacks nedry to shock the audience. Dilphosaurus and Indoraptor both have that exact same sequence of comedy and horror. Owen Grady surviving ash cloud was explained by the filmmakers that they are full aware of the dangers of a pyroclastic flow would kill Grady. So what they did is they add a darker shaded ash cloud at the front to make the audience aware that Owen Grady was covered only in normal ash cloud for him survive. While the light grey smoke behind the dark ash was the pyroclastic flow to make it easier for audience to know which colour of the smoke was just regular ash cloud and the harmful pyroclastic flow. Owen was paralysed by the tranq only temporary because he wasn't injected with a full doze when Zara removed it. Also the scene of him trying to move his body with a flow of lava. Is meant to be intense with a dash of comedy like Indiana Jones and his father tied up to a chair and bouncing with the room set on fire. Adding not just an intense moment with characters in danger but also making goofy gestures or movements for laughs for audience to be entertained but also thrilled at the same time. Jurassic Park films are like the Indiana Jones movies. They can be scary, intense, action packed but also funny, witty and silly at the same time. Jurassic World Fallen Kingdom gave me good memories and I appreciate this movie for going dark with horror elements but keeping that adventure thrillment with the characters and as well giving a sense of moral message to think about. Love Fallen Kingdom. To me, 2nd best in the franchise.

@ i can understand the comedy actions but i do feel like for the indoraptor in the cage scene would’ve been better if it had just opened it’s eye and shut it. We’re supposed to fear this thing so doing that I feel would’ve said oh it’s smart enough to fake being asleep while adding to the horror of it knows how to trick people this would’ve made it more of a threatening creature. But what do you think?

I hope it has some "Lost World" vibes to it. Like most fans, I've been wanting that for a long time! But the last two movies failed on that. Gareth Edwards is a great director. He understands what the fans like, and I have trust in his direction. I mean, "Rogue One" was awesome! It's probably the best Star Wars spin-off movie. And Godzilla was a good too, even though it was more of a human story with monsters involved.

I’m sorry but it honestly sounds like a retread of JP3. It’s a search and rescue mission (JP3’s Eric Kirby and his stepfather Bony McBoneface) on a secret genetic factory island (JP3’s Isla Sorna) with peril from a bigger, badder Spinosaurus. Bonus: one of the rescuers is a protege of Alan Grant (JP3’s Billy) who is wanting a side hustle of nabbing some Dino DNA for research purposes (Billy stealing raptor eggs). The fact that there are now THREE Spinosaurs who will presumably be in a death struggle against the mosasaur reminds me of how Last Jedi did the Battle of Hoth, but with bigger walkers and salt flats instead of snow.

If they’re taking inspiration from Geiger’s alien and Godzilla etc, then they already got it VERY wrong. Dinosaurs aren’t monsters and never were. They’re animals and JP and TLW treated them that way. They only became soulless cliché Hollywood monsters with the JPIII Spinosaurus and every idiotic hybrid since. There’s a million monster movies. The magic about JP dinosaurs was that they were/are REAL and there’s a majestic AND terrifying quality in that all by itself. Disappointed.

This is gonna be awesome. The new T-REX design looks incredible, the spinosaurus, the throwback to the original in the museum. This has me hyped, I can't wait to see what they did to the Raptors and what other stuff they have on the table. A little questionable on the mutant dinosaur, let's hope it's not some crazy over the top thing that just would never actually happen, and they keep it more grounded and it's something that can be tied into Indominous and early genetic testing from the first movie.
