Of course I want to see more dlc characters from unrepresented shows like Timmy despite the legal international right issues with nelvana, Dudley puppy, kitty katswell, Otis, Miko, tak and more, who knows if were gonna get more dlc characters but only time will tell.

Yes! More Brawlers like more Loud House characters: Lori, Luan, Luna, Leni, Lynn (Jr), Lincoln, Clyde and Ronnie Anne as well as more Spongebob Characters: Larry, Pearl and Sandy since both Spongebob Squarepants and The Loud House were big cartoon hits on Nickelodeon. I'm serious. :) I believe you the only one who can tell the Brawl 2 devs. :)

I'd love for them to bring back the missing characters from the first game. Leonardo and Toph were fun to use. Though if they do bring back Toph, maybe change the platform move or remove it altogether.

I was so worried that this game was going to be left in the dust after Iroh came out, so this patch put a huge smile on my face. Soooo many welcome changes! I will admit, as a SpongeBob main, I will kind of miss killing opponents with the last few active frames of his grounded down strong just because I thought it was funny, but realistically, the added weaker hitbox is a logical change. I do hope something else will happen to help celebrate the game’s one year anniversary, whether that’s new characters or even like adding new alternate costumes for everyone. This is, in my opinion, one of the best platform fighters ever made, and I hope it can live on for at least a few years before a potential (but hopefully) NASB 3.

Nasb 2 is right behind rivals 2. Just waiting for people to realize it. For people who play online its, rivals 2, rivals 1 , melee, nasb 2, multiversus( with shields), smash ultimate. Smash online has it solid bottom for me.

i'd say slap city has better online than smash also. it's still delay based, but even on the switch version it feels pretty smooth

I’ve been telling people to Email Gamemill Entertainment support to request new characters. With a direct line of communication to them to show what consumers want it may better steer them towards investing in DLC rather than a new game!

Quick correction: The bug with SpongeBob's Strong Dair specifically happened when you slime enhanced it, not using the normal version.

It wasn't that the dev team chose to remove characters as much as it was they ran out of time. The game had about 1 year of dev time and 11 months of planning. The publishers would need to give the devs more time to add all those characters including new picks.

It was pretty insane actually! While it didn't happen often, when an opponent is frozen they basically are unactionable until death if they get frozen off stage. Jimmy kitwise was considered the #1 of the previous patch, so with the goal of this patch being to equal the playing field, Jimmy finally has some true weaknesses that previously didn't exist any more due to being over buffed over the games lifespan.

Yea it’s a frustrating win state, but it was also pretty funny and just fun to pull off. I don’t really think balance should as a rule trump fun, although I understand it’s a balance.

@djandjb1 I personally think the ice freeze mechanic was hilarious as well. It barely happened and definitely was not a reason he was incredibly broken (other moves and recovery options along with his weight were) So I'm with ya. I don't personally think it needed to be removed.

I more upset about the change to his up special, heavy up air, and light forward attack on the ground. Taking away Jimmy's ability to use another move after using the up special removes his ability to do combos and follow ups along with ways to approach the opponent using it. Having that really helped him have a way to get back on stage while dealing with the opponent guarding the edge, I've had a few matches where it happened and it helped a lot when it bad situations. Decreasing the damage and knockback of his heavy up air doesn't really make sense. The move is suppose to be strong with a chance to take a stock at a high percent like other heavy attacks. Jimmy had something to use to finish off opponents who are above him in the air. Charging it up a bit while using it also helped it. Increasing the start up frames for light forward isn't good. Before this, it was a better option for Jimmy to use when attacking opponents on the ground. His jab is good but feels odd. It can do damage but doesn't have the knockback to keep them away from him. The move having more start up makes it less effective. I also don't like the fact that the hitbox for heavy down air is decrease. I understand it's for balancing but it looks off when the size doesn't match the size of the bubble.

@Draggzilla it's because prior to this patch the meta was incredibly toxic and unfun to fight. Many of the options were simply so unfun to fight against in any way (casually in free for all's or in tournament or ranked 1v1s) that it was making people quit like crazy!

I'm glad it seems that they fixed a lot of the broken stuff with this game, but I'm not really sure why ren and stimpy was nerfed harder than angry beavers, who seemed overall buffed, like I get it, ren and stimpy can be very obnoxious, and down smash definitely deserves the nerf (I'm saying this is a Ren and Stimpy main who got so many cheeky kills with the late hit of that move), but like wasn't angry beavers top 3 or 4 in the game or something?

Don't be to worried! This balance patch is just a sweeping power level nerf. Everyone is nerfed except those who needed fixes or a lil buff here or there. The community is thinking El Tigre may be too 5 or so currently even after nerfs.

@@Cherrynasb the switch version has frame rate issues and is just a worse version of the game. I played my friend's game at launch and the game ran at 30 fps, not sure if that's still the case though, but if it is, it's just an awful version of the game.

Yeah unfortunately it probably only runs at 45fps tops now. The switch isn't really powerful enough without like 4 more years of optimisations on the switch side of NASB2. It's unfortunate but that's just how it is on the budget nasb2 has.
