This should be a design philosophy. We've entered an era when the first people to grow up with video games are now unable to complete them because they compete for too much time, Games like xenoblade will never be enjoyed by a large portion of interested people because they require hundreds of hours of commitment, not like an mmo, or tears of the kingdom, where hundreds of hours can be stretched across a year with no negative impact, but hundreds of hours of paying close attention to a story so you dont end up asking "literally what the fuck is happening" like david fucking lynch directed the game. When purchasing a game, the first thing I consult is hltb, if the game lasts longer than 10-12 hours, I wont pay full price, if the game lasts longer than 20 hours, I wont pay more than 5 dollars for it because its something that I will never be able to finish. If it only lasts 5 hours I could pay double and be happy.

As someone who would have put up with far, far worse from DAV just to get some goddamn closure on the overall plot, I take a special, vicious sort of pleasure hearing its dialogue get absolutely ripped to shit. I found a way to feel joy from the roughly 60% of the dialogue that wasn't awful. But that's because my brain does not function properly, and I am *mad* about that. This. People needs to understand that people that were born in 2014 are infact 10 right now and most likely has a switch. They have most probably never even heard that there was a "Mario and luigi" -series so giving them a bit hand holding is fine also there's very optional items that makes you invincible and makes you automatically dodge everything so even bad players can give the game a try. I love the series and i have some complaints about the game, but i not that far enough to say if the game is shit or a good revival game.

2:38 "34 hours? Oh God! Thats short for a rpg, but thats long for somebody with a life." Honestly so real I rarely play video games so a 100 hour long rpg would probably take me a year or something Im glad this game is as long as it is. Its a decent amount of time but defo a Quality over Quantity, like a nintendo game should be. I dont want to do boring shit, If i play a game i want these 2 hours to be full of fun and not boring repetetive stuff like clearing a way too long cave full of Draugr or grinding that one armour that has a 3% drop chance
