Something like rivals. Just the brutality of the cops and map design were very nice.

Need for speed Heat was a good game. EA abandoned it way too soon, it was almost like Heat was a test game. Unbound is good physics wise, story too short, the game was most definitely geared towards the younger gamers with the cartoon characters and special effects and all of those flashy colors. Both games failed single players miserably. Heat was abandoned like I said, Unbound has released a shit ton of updates, holy cow! Oh wait....... ALL of the updates are for multi player. There is nothing for single players again. I will follow this with a fun fact! Did you know if you look it up you will find that most gamers prefer single player games over multi player games. And it's not even close numbers wise. I was actually surprised by that. So as an example. Out of 100% of the gamer base, 30% want multi player games. The other 70% want single player experiences. So which group does EA focus on? Of course it's the 30% That's the bigger issue with newer NFS games. The people that made this game what it is today, get shit on, in favor of online gameplay. Same with Madden! Exact same thing. And as a kicker. EA found a way to stop people from emulating the older nfs games as the downloads for ALL OF THEM are no longer available. So with every game EA releases they are essentially sticking up a big middle finger to the 70% of the gamer crowd that made EA the giant it is today.

Along your fun fact, for EA and most of modern game publishers, multiplayer=more in game purchases=more money, single player=less in game purchases=less money

@chofergaming if all of the updates that came out for Unbound were also available in single player, money would not have been an issue, I would have paid $15 to play hot pursuit in Unbound on my own. As for what I want to see from a NFS game, we'll that's simple, a return to the formula that got them where they are! What is the common factor in all of the most popular NFS games? I'll tell ya, Fun and you can replay them over and over and they are still fun. Plus, they were focused on the single player. Even NFS Rivals, can be played single player every bit as much as you can play it online. But, Underground, Underground 2, Most wanted 05, Carbon, Hot pursuit, Rivals, The Run, were all fun as hell games, and the later, hot pursuit and rivals could be completely played by yourself or online, we had the option, and everything online had, so did single player. 50/50. NFS needs to focus on single player again, with the option to also play the game online. You hit both focus groups and you have yourself a complete game again.

I agree about the vibe is lacking in Unbound. Vibe is just an overlooked aspect in NFS games. Each game is different and offers unique experience unlike forza or the crew. Heat's Vibe or Atmosphere is a good example of this, On the day people records your car in pre race segments. And In the night people will cheer you to rev you car louder, put flares at the start, put some cars to block the road, etc. That alone just make the game feel wild and alive, it just yearns street racing to the max. Unbound doesnt have that, the races start like a generic races. The meet up is just a glorified menu and the artstyle and the effects was clashing with the realistic enviroment and cars. They do improve it a little when you do drag racing in online, that i cant deny it. What i think they can do for the next NFS is not just to learn about the street racing culture itself, but rather go into a street racing scene in real life to see hows the atmosphere feel like, like blackbox dev's did when they make NFS Prostreet. They actually went into a drift race event to get the feeling of an otomotive festival. I know its impossible but, The dev's for Criterion still can visit Japan because the car community is still strong and they still "Allegedlly" do highway runs. If they really know how street car culture operates, i think next NFS will be a banger.

NFS HEAT WAS A CLASSIC, THEY COUL HAVE MADE IT PERFECT WITH MORE TIME AND ATTENTION!!

The reason why we don't have Toyota supra in need for speed is due to licensing and also the company not wanting their cars to take part in illegal racing games

Payback was just an excuse for EA to put micro transactions in a NFS game, which is probably why this game does not have free roam police

I personally didn't find the dialogue in Payback all that cheesy, but that's just me. I really enjoyed the story in Payback, racing all the way to the top to finally win the Outlaw's Rush and finally bring down The House, loved the amount of visual customization in the game, hated that stupid speed card performance upgrade system, but still the best modern NFS for me. Come at me!

Tbh I don't like Heat at all. To me it's one of the worst, boring and empty. And I played every NFS since Underground 1. Payback, despite being the most controversial, was more fun than Heat. Unbound started bad but redeemed itself with all the updates and is one of the best, if not THE best, recent NFS. People talk trash about Unbound and I don't think it's fair.

6:45 heat had many 3$ 2$ sales unlike unbound which had 10$ only sales + unbound is current gen only and older games most of the time have more players and the reviews as always the new nfs (unbound rn) gets review bombed, Heat wasn't that positive when it released and unbound reviews will be positive when the next nfs releases

Yeah. What about the NFS MW2 beta. It could also save the NFS franchise :). But, it's just for an annoying BMW kids anyway (Who wanted more NFS MW franchise) -_-

@@uraveragejoe4439 you are defending a arcade game, that they push for a racing game. It is dogwater and it will always be. Even pro street was better than it.
