So Nintendo won’t say who’s making it but they did say some of the original people that helped with the series are working on it

There was a hard mode in Dream Team. It was super fun. You have to heal if you get hit once/twice. Sort of souls like. And you get 10 of each item max. I had a blast.

I remember playing the Superstar Saga remake with only the default gear, and it was BRUTAL. Even if there’s no in-game hard mode, you can always get creative and make your own :)

100% agree. This game OPENED the show and it's the November game. This isn't a slapdash team making some spiritual successor. This is a bonafide M&L game made by as much of the old AlphaDream gang they could round up. AND they're sticking a flag in the ground stating that Mario RPGs are here to stay.

Mario and Luigi Dream Team on 3ds was my first time playing this series. I absolutely loved Dream Team. If this is more of that then I am hyped.

Glad you liked it! Its actually my least favorite one if you can believe it so your in for a treat with this franchise :) Try the remakes of Superstar Saga and Bowser's Inside Story if you can find them on 3DS. Partners In Time on DS is also super good!

The only Mario & Luigi game I've played was Superstar Saga back when GBA emulators became a thing. Played through it twice & loved it. Never played the DS ones because of my physical disability, but I'm so glad Brothership is a Switch because it'll be accessible for me to play. I'm already planning on pre-ordering it (& Echoes of Wisdom) as soon as Gamestop updates their freakin' site.

That’s sad to hear that you can’t experience Bowser’s Inside Story and the other DS ones, is It too rude to ask why that is? Anyway though, I‘m glad you‘ll be able to enjoy the new one!

@@geschnitztekiste4111 Not rude at all! I have a physical disability that makes it hard for me to play handheld games. I'd have to set up the DS in a special way, but since the DS games had you using Gyro & blowing into the microphone (which I can't do either), it's better for me to skip them instead of getting frustrated with the set up.

@@Samsapopin I didn't consider the blowing and Gyro, yeah that's tricky. I guess for the "blowing" I used to talk loudly into the mic and it ended up working, but the Gyro would be hard to circumvent. Maybe there will be an easy fix for those in the future, emulators can do crazy things sometimes, for example there's a mod for the Rhythm Heaven DS ROM which replaces the touch screen flicking motion with a keyboard shortcut, so maybe there's more stuff like that in the future. Let's all look forward to Brothership, though! :)

The Super Mario RPG remake sold *three million copies* which is insane considering it is not even an original title. As pointed out, this is a brand new title with a very impressive and promising first trailer. Like you, I truly believe this will blow the other RPGs of the water in terms of sales.

It’s probably from a bunch of hardcore 2D pixel art fanboys that hate everything that’s in 3d animation/graphics which have only gotten more annoying as the years go on

Whilst I’ve always like the visual style of paper Mario more this series has the better and more creative battle system and feels more like how they should’ve developed the system in paper mario. This one looks like it’s even better than ever

I tend to side with Nintendo on this one. If they are putting their stamp on something I don't really care who the developer is. For third party games I think it matters to me a lot who the developer is. If a game is developed or published by Atlus for example that means a lot to me. Other lesser known developers not so much. Edit: I'm not gonna buy Paper Mario because I played that as a kid. I'll definitely pick mario and Luigi up because it is brand new.

Honestly, every game should have difficulty settings! That’s my only critique with Mario RPG remake & Paper Mario Remake…they were both way too easy.

I didn't understand what was so bad about the diamond and pearl remake? Now I fell off with pokemon obsession literally after red&blue in late 90s and didn't pick up again until Black, so I could be unaware of reasons the remake was lacking

I'm definitely looking forward to playing Mario and Luigi Brothership. I'm not surprised with Nintendo keeping things secret since harrassment stuff has been on the rise recently.

Yeah, people would be like "This looks great." then learn Arzest worked on it and make a 180°. A similar thing happened when the Mario and Rabbids game got leaked. People were shredding it until gameplay was shown, then those people made a complete 180°.
