ALSO; Kastellan robots aren't infantry; their Datasmiths lose INFANTRY while attached. Spiritseers and Hive Tyrants could stand to learn a thing or two about dodging keyword sharing.

A little part of me wanted GW to call this detachment rule "ASSUMING DIRECT CONTROL" just to lean into the memes and fun. Because as soon as I read that rule I was getting Harbinger from ME2 flashbacks.

I think the big thing about the robots enhancement is that it basically gives you 3 units being effected by the army ability

And a strat gives you access to a 4th unit getting the buff. Ad mech eating good at Grotmas.

That, and having them effectively permanent 10 toughness with extra Melee or Flamers makes them a pretty mean bully unit to throw into the middle of the board

Hahaha made a List. 1995pts Cybernetica datasmith with 4 Castelan Robots. and Enhancement Warhound titan Canix Rex omg this is just stupid, all 3 units get the Detachment rule :D

Loving how varied the theorycrafting for this detachment has been! I want to try going more elite-focused with Robots and Kataphron but I'm super hyped to be able to experiment with a bunch of stuff!

The Robots won't be able to do the reactive move unfortunately, because the datasmith looses the Infantry keyword while joined

oh in addition, you can actually choose the units in Transports for the override. It specifically includes units in Transports

Just a heads up. You can use the detachment rule on units in transports

Note that the Robots cannot use strategems that use the infantry keyword (Analytical Divination), the datasmith, when attached, loses the infantry keyword. Updated just after codex release.

I think you take both? Destroyers def compliment Breachers nicely and aren't super expensive

Necron leaks are CRAZY. New Necrons detachment is just ridiculous. Admech detachment looks strong, but the Necrons detachment is going to make points have to go so high that the other detachments will be garbage...
