I pulled For Raiden last banner and her weaponI had 185 pulls,by the time I was done I was at 148fates left. Today I also pulled today on Chasca's banner and on her wep banner, I got Chasca after 11 fates and a skyward catalyst book after two 10 pulls.. Is any of this normal?? Do characters & Weapons pity early in Genshin? Sorry I'm a bit confused by the pity system too be honest.

Well, this could be used to do a Physical Kaeya, I believe he has one of the highest normal/charged scaling of sword users, and applies a lot of cryo towards superconduct. Him, Mika, Zhongli, and Kuki. The 2 piece combo from Blood stained and Pale flame, and Phys cup. If Mika and Zhongli are good enough shield/heal then Kuki could be replaced with another off field electro, but she does have good up time on her electro app, Fischl could be better here with C6 due to the normal coordinated attack and C4 for additional Electro app. Just throwing this out there as something that could be done, don't know it it would actually be any good.

It's a decent niche weapon. They likely released this coz of the upcoming new shielders in 5.3 being Citlali and the Anemo Catalyst for Lantern rite. Also because Zhongli is in phase 2.

Baizhu is risky because the sword buff only applies if the shield is still active. Baizhu's shields does refresh but are very fragile. If you're unlucky, you could lose the sword buff and before Baizhu's shield would refresh when you use Clorinde's trust attack.

@@ShikiRawr yes, but I feel like it's not worth it because you want to use as many enhanced thrust attacks as possible within the duration of her eskill. If you're forced to dodge to keep the shield active before you thrusts, you will potentially lose out on X amount of thrusts and let's not forget that Baizhu's healing would also lessen her bond of life while Clorinde needs a bond of life of 100% to enhance her thrust. So not only would you need to time your dodge, but also manage her bond of life more which as a result could negatively impact the amount of enhanced thrusts. I might be fully wrong tho, this is just what I assume to be the case.

Just something to note. The crystallization shield strength is determined by EM. Yes, they are still relatively weak. But you CAN buff them with higher EM. So don't be afraid to give some EM to your GEO characters.

@@ItsMeBliz Yes, that would be best, obviously. But if you're using someone other than a main shielder like Ning having a some EM other than just the usual 0, many tend to give their Geo characters you can make your crystallize shields last a bit longer.

If you did want to focus on it, you'd want an off-field damage dealer. Like take Kachina with an EM Scroll build. She pulses off-field, so provides new crystals to pick up. She'll provide DMG for the elements she crystalizes off of. Her damage is pretty meh anyway, so no big loss by focusing on EM. At C4, she buffs the active character's def, which helps the shield last longer. Also worth noting that an EM geo can be very effective defensively against certain enemies. Specifically, PECH enemies that apply their own element to themselves, like the hydro Tulpa. You then get the 2.5k base shield, boosted by the EM, and then further boosted by the "250% against same element" factor.

It could work for a Qiqi or Kaeya freeze comp with Layla given her shield while not being the best is more than enough in a freeze comp and she has a constellation where she buffs the on field attackers NA and charged attack. You can also give Zhongli archaic petra. I know, blah blah crystal problems. It still makes Zhongli's buff even higher IF you manage it. Also, if you are a brand new player, the sword will make an easy Bennet weapon in terms of 4 star base attack. At least until you randomly get something better from a banner.

what we need to put zhongli back into the meta is a spear that buffs team damage. like xilonen's sword or citlali's catalyst. if we get that, then zhongli can give 20% shred, infinite resistance to interruption, and 60.5% dmg bonus for the team. that's pretty good.

I feel like Lan Yan will be a good support for this weapon. Consolidating shielding and VV shred into one character does a lot to mitigate the issue most shielders have with being an overall DPS loss compared to buff/debuff supports, while also allowing the on-fielder to proc the sword's passive.

I personally use it on an electro-charged hydro-kirara team (kirara, raiden, candace, ororon), though it’s unfortunately not as optimized as it could be bc my kirara is c6, and her c4 makes her do occasional dendro damage when her shield is up + she or a team member does damage

I was so excited for this sword, but it turns out the passive is misleading. It talks about "when characters are protected by a shield", which sounds like it is a team-wide buff. It would make this sword an amazing support option for so many characters like Kirara or Layla. But the passive should've said something like "when the wielding character is protected by a shield, ..."

Clorinde can use the sword if you use kirara in aggravate. Clorinde, kirara, kazuha and fischl is a great team

@@victorsebastien5321 I believe it's much better than Finale of the Deep because the normal/charged + crit rate boost > the flat atk boost. The only exception would be if Furina is in the team because of the crazy dmg buff she provides but Clorinde's best reactions doesn't use Furina. So for Clorinde, this sword + shielder is better than finale of the deep, especially with the event sword also being easily refinable to R5.

This sword is such a gift to my account. I’m on a true no-pull account, so good weapons are hard to come by. I basically just main Traveler and almost every team I use has shields, so this sword is going to be great for her.

What I saw is that this sword says "characters" not "character", so it is possible that this is support weapon that would improve dmg of other characters, as long as they are protected by shield. But I might be wrong, it might be just a translation mistake...

not really, i use the Sap wood with bennet so when i use this weapon there is no different on base atk that will change his buff from ult aaaaannndddd its same dmg. this weapon for main carry. didnt work as pass over buff like TTDS.

I think Citlali will come with a shield, that's probably why it's released (and why it's in the Natlan event makes more sense)

It's worth leveling, if only for the fact that the weapon itself gets a pretty considerable discount when it comes to Weapon EXP requirement, and if you have the Shogun, Ascending costs less too. Maybe I really should use this on my Keqing, since she's the only one that doesn't have a real signature weapon of her own, and it looks nice on her to boot…

I've been playing him on HoD with pretty low attack this whole time, really good gladiator build on him but I've wanted to switch to a build with more attack for the longest while. He's around 60/235 with HoD passive, do you think trading the crit DMG on HoD for this attack sword will pay off?

Tbh this sword is actually op bc of one of your party members has the sword the passive still activate even if the sword user isn't on the field I tested it with chasca by using the sword on Layla and the passive still activates

Hold on, i thought that as long as a party character has the sword equipped the passive is shared by any character protected by a shield, since it never specifies that its for the equipping character, but the characters that are protected by a shield. I dunno i guess more testing is due once i get higher R

Off the top of my head I know Festering Desire sword also gave Crit Rate and was also only for Skill Crit Rate. Not sure about other weapons without looking. I like this weapon but the only character I could see myself using it on was my Physical Kirara but she already has Summit Shaper and her build was kinda designed around that weapon so it'll require some dmg testing on my end.

Citlali and pyro traveler are coming so they release this kind of weapon, Pyro traveler has pyro infusion at C6 and Citlali provides shield and continuous cryo application so the weapon will be more useful in the future for traveller.

As C6R1 clorinde main i sadly dnt feel it. but as clorinde main these are the teams i recommend when using this weapon. Aggravate ; Clorinde, Nahida, Fischl and Lanya shes a new anemo shielder comming soon in lantern rite so you can pick her for free. she will serve as ur shield for the weapon + VV shred electro for more aggravate dmg. and u can also run kirara but as you can see lanya will be a dmg boost. Overload ; Clorinde, Chevreuse, Thoma and Fischl.
