15 years ago an importer of Italian Gold told me he was retiring and selling all his Gold and to be careful buying Gold as they had technology that could get the micro Gold particles that were floating in the ocean's waters thus making Gold plentiful and reducing it's value. I'll take what you said about the drawing up of Gold from the mantle with a grain of salt just as I took my old Italian friends comments.

Really interesting piece. I thought you were going to say they’ve worked out how to produce gold in a lab then we’d be in trouble. I thing a asteroid or deep within the worlds mantle I think we can all relax ☃️

They know how to do it but it is way too expensive.

They have discovered that - a long time ago. Lead can be turned to gold, but the cost (particle accelerators) of doing it compared to the minuscule amount of gold, is prohibitive. Might as well mine it. Unless you meant “lab” as in Magicians lair…

They can and do make gold in a lab. The idea that it costs more to make it than is recovered is mute since being able to print money for free

@@wegapaul3616 only way to make an element from another in a lab is with nuclear fusion tech, as Plutonium 239 is made from Uranium 238 (which by the way cost $5M per kg back in the 1940s)

Pulling up gold from the mantle 30 to 50 miles down Let’s get this in perspective shall we The deepest hole ever dug well drilled in this case is the Kola bore hole situated in Siberia which is 7.5 miles deep took 20 years to drill it from 1970 to 1992 and it was only 9 inches in diameter . They gave up drilling when they hit hard rock at a temperature of 180 c and the drill got stuck down the bottom of the bore hole. It cost $100 million to bore it at 1980 prices they also found lots of various gases and very high pressure and temperature water. So you can forgo any idea of extraction of gold from 30 miles plus down into the earth. In short it would be 1000 times easier to go to Pysche 16 asteroid and and mine that gold Neither of these options are possible or economical FORTUNATELY 😅😅😅

Yes, a lot of the gold sitting on the earth's crust came from the late bombardment period and through volcanization developed gold veins and now sits on bedrock, streams, rivers and seas and oceans.

After all their effort, gold has gone from a $20 gold piece being worth $20 to being worth $2600. I am more of a silver fan though as most silver is found close to the surface and is being used up in industrial use.

Another great video Sal. On the topic of science and precious medals. I have been seeing videos of people lab growing silver. I am not sure if you have touched on this topic in a past or not. I wonder if lab grown gold or silver poses any threat to its value similarly to lab grown diamonds. I looked into it a little bit. It seems that it shouldn’t. I would love to hear your thoughts on it sometime. Not sure if that topic is video worthy or not, just thought I’d share. Take care!

What if Bix is right and there are trillions of oz in the Grand Canyon?
@AnonymousStacker666
@AnonymousStacker666 27 күн бұрын
The Grand Canyon was prospected extensively in the 19th and early 20th centuries, no gold or other minerals were found. The national park wasn't established until 1919 and that would have NEVER happened if mining Grand Canyon was viable. If mining Grand Canyon was viable, the park would not exist today, and the Grand Canyon would be a massive open pit mine.
