Awesome, I’ve been playing with a similar deck. Resolving ocean feels very good. I like threatening roar as an option to protect ocean and reversal with skyscraper. It also serves a similar purpose of baiting out heavy storm like legacy of yata. Return from the different dimension is also a fun way to get an ocean and stratos back during the standby phase as a late game bomb, but it’s very bricky early on.

I tried this build and I like it a lot, I didn't play upstart tho, I play mst heavy and call of the haunted which I think is insane in this deck (stratos,ocean in draw phase, captain gold, cydra..)

The main deck looks solid, but I would find a place for Gemini Lancer to make sure the spark and miracle are live. No Heavy Storm nor Future Fusion anywhere seems wild. I doubt Wildheart is that strong or useful. I would side NoC against all the HRC decks, outside of spark, they give you a lot of troubles. For the sake of optimization, put Cyber Twin Dragon in the extra deck.

I tried it but the issue is it doesn't work with miracle fusion outside of being an E-Hero and whilst you can honest to easily trigger the effect you already need to be playing for it to work

Call loses to oppression and heavy, as I would need to set it next to my defensive card if I want to have any point of interation. Without tuners or tribute summons it also loses value, hence why I opted not to run it.

thanks for the list mate. I played Hero beat for quite some time now and changed to Vayu because it was to struggley against many decks. That list gives me some hope for heroes in Edison! But I have few questions: Why no FF? How to Side? Why Grand Neos? Why no Mole in your list when you play Grand Neos and no Mind control/ Brain? thanks in advance, great Vid!

No BC/MC because I don't play Cyber Valley or any tuners. Taking an earth/water to fuse away with miracle is far too niche. I tend to side out 1 alius if I put in fossil dyna, to not open too many normal summons. Other cards you can side out are Legacy of yata garasu, hero blast, starlight road/solemn judgment (depending on the matchup). For the other questions you will find the answer amongst the comments.

I'm surprised there is no skill drain in main or side. Do you find it not impactful enough ? Also I was thinking about second Captain Gold in the main, but the fear to brick on too many normal summon is real ^^

I don’t really want to draw Captain Gold and he's recyclable with Ocean. As for Skill Drain I prefer SIM against the dark combo decks like Vayu. Also Skill Drain shuts off Prisma, Stratos and Ocean so it makes my deck worse too. Coupled with the fact that Edison format is slow and comprised more of the battle phase and beatsticks than other formats, so flipping Skill Drain isn’t a guaranteed victory as it is in some later formats.

Yes! One issue I noticed with this deck, as opposed to Vayu or Blackwing is the more draw traps you play the worse they become. Seeing one is great but two can be very detrimental, as Hero cannot deal with established boards in the same way BW can.

I've been playtesting this and really like it, this list allows me to feel very safe to play a slower game while everyone else is speeding up. I did main an mst and a second karma cut for some extra removal instead of 1 upstart and 1 legacy, but i will bring this to locals next week and see how it fares in paper. Thanks for sharing! How do you feel about siding two copies of black horn of heaven against blackwing/machina/quickdraw shenanigans? i've tested it a bit and had it be very good a couple of times (i played it over oppression).

You could play Black Horn of Heaven, issue is when they don't commit to a synchro summon you're stuck with a Black Horn. And it's not something you want to use on say Bora SS, either. I'd be more inclined to have it vs QD/Machina, but then oppression is generally better as it stops lonefire>tytannial or flip hamster as well as being continous.

Correct! I didn't want to play into oppression more than necessary coupled with the fact that foolishing 2 heroes doesn't do as much in this deck as in diva hero. It also plays into heavy/black rose

I considered Lancer! However it not being searchable and only 1800 led me to exclude him. 2 Ocean comes up because you want to make sure he's always available to search. Say you needed to dump him earlier to make Miracle live. Or if they banish Ab0, you want to have the option of searching another water for Miracle

I used to play Grand Mole. Figured I'd keep the Grand Neos seeing as it's fitting with the archetype, same as the Divine Neos. HERO Extra deck is realistically only 7-8 cards anyway.
