Can drop Pokemon, since Pokemon is based on Dragon Quest since DQ had taming before Pokemon existed. Looks seem a lot like Monster Hunter Stories.

Yeah I say that somewhere in the video. But there is a monster tamer mechanic in the game, hence the pokemon inspirations. But you're right, the monsters are very dragon quest-like.

I was meaning DQ had monster tamer aspects before Pokemon existed. '95 - Dragon Quest 6 you could tame monsters in '97 - Pokemon Now if you really want to go with it both stole the whole capture thing from Shin Megami Tensei, which started in '87.
