Once again, thank you for giving me a specific point to when I should watch this, I really appreciate the methodology bro, in fact after the hype dies down if you decide to make similar videos about other dragon quest games I would definitely be watching, I always wanted to tackle the series but it's always either gets too hard for me coz I don't understand the basics or I just get bored from longevity

Nope, all vamp works just well honestly. only downside I could see is there is better options for a tank, like tough cookie and ironclad, in case you want a tanky healer or just a tank sub-dps warrior. Both work for the latter but if you want a tank that uses spells, ironclad is a lot better because of its good wisdom growth compared to tough cookie.

Getting that shield is a absolute nightmare if two of your party members are spellcasters with no fighting skills I went in that cave with two sages I barely made it back out and had to use almost all my stockpile of healing items including a number of world tree leaves to prevent being wiped out I managed to get the shield out don’t repeat my mistake

Yeah, i never use 2 sepllcasters since the hero works as my 2nd one. I use warrior + Martial with sage as you saw in the video. I'm glad you made it out of the cave!😂

Merchant to thief is definitely powerful with all the merchant abilities learned but I never thought to go into gadabout them sage with my merchant. Definitely will try with my next play through

I have finalized the build for my party, dukey03 recommended that instead of going from a mage to a thief to a martial artist I should swap the first 2, and I instantly realized that he was right. So for that character I am starting out as a lone wolf then equipping the specs to give her the wit personality for her stint as a mage before going back to lone wolf for a martial artist. I am making my merchant turned priest turned warrior into a lucky devil, and I am giving my gadabout turned sage turned monster wrangler the vamp personality simply because it's a nice balanced option. These characters will all have these personalities naturally thanks to a guide I found for using the starting seeds in the right way, so I won't have to worry about keeping certain items equipped all the time.

Since the beginning of the game my party has been Thief, Wrangler, and Mage. I just unlocked the boat. I kind of want to change vocations but they are so good and I don't know what to switch them to

Thief into sage is good so you'll have someone with every spell. For ur wrangler, wait until u get 50 monsters for the act twice passive, then swap to Martial or warrior. Your mage can become a priest to get another party member with a bunch of spells. If you only want 1 magic user in ur team, since the hero also uses magic, you make the mage your sage and make your thief smth else like warrior, martial or monster wrangler.

Sounds good, but there is something I learned from experience, The martial artist doesnt care about learning spells. In the late game, you will never have a case where its better to cast spells, always use ur hard hitting abilities like multifist to unleash crazy dmg. So I would swap the martial and warrior in your plan. But again, its not that big of a deal. Just have fun!

that makes sense. unfortunately I already did the class changes(except for wrangler) and played for a few hrs and leveled them up to like 15. I did it so all my classes have access to aoes/spells but I can see it not having much utility lategame. idk if I should switch again or just commit now lol

Definitely remain sage till the end of the game, if you just wanna beat the game and dont min max or grind too much, just stay sage and dont think abt it. The priest warrior can become a monster wrangler for the act twice passive.

I'm glad you're enjoying the content! And yes you can keep the MA for dps, or if u dont mind grinding a bit more for double dps, make him a MW just to grab wildside at 50 monsters, then go back to MA. This require a bit of extra grinding, but it will litteraly double your DPS. My warrior turned MW turned MA was hitting the final boss 2k per turn when he crits.

Thanks for the video, amazing work! I have a question, I started with Merchant/Thief/Monster Wrangler and I’m around level 30ish so been looking into changing my comp. Going off your video I’ll probably go Merchant -> Gadabout -> Sage. Monster Wrangler -> Martial Artist. But for Thief I’m a bit lost. What do you think i should go for? Another Sage would be cool but i also think going into Monster Wrangler for easy capturing and the like would be nice lol Also need to look into the best personalities for the secondary classes lol

For your merchant, just go sage directly with the item you can find in the tower of ascendance. For you Monster wrangler, Martial artist is a really good choice, just wait for 50 monsters to get wild side. For your thief, a 2nd wrangler is probably the best choice to end up with 2 DPS who have wild side, then you can transition off MW to become a warrior or a mage/2nd sage. I recommend warrior, having a tank that does a lot of dmg can be pretty handy. My final comp was warrior/Martial Artist/sage and I finished the game on harder difficulty, so I can assure u that this comp works well! make sure to get good personalities for your party through books and accessories, I made a video about best personalities.

Guaranteed not. It's iffy if it'll even be 2026. It's VERY VERY early into development after they finally decided to self-publish after failing to find a publisher. Similarly Penny Blood that was part of the same kickstarter has literally not even started development and is likely to not ever release at all as they've also failed to get a publisher at this point and apparently won't be in a situation to self-publish... and are now suing those who held the initial kickstarter with claims that they never even got paid from that to begin with. Basically there's been very little progress with Armed Fantasia and absolutely no progress with Penny Blood since the initial kickstarter. I would be surprised if Armed Fantasia isn't a 2027 or 2028 release.

You say that Lucky Devil is good for the Hero-- but from everywhere i looked there is no way to get it for the hero (not including accessory)

Yeah, it would be with the accessory. If you dont like that, you can just go with lone wolf or any other good personality for an all-rounder.

Unfortunately I did in fact start with martial artist, not knowing what I was doing. Just got to Alltrades, so I’ll probably swap to monster wrangler until I get to 50 monsters and then swap back to martial artist. At least her stats should be pretty great by end game.
