2:34 We ran into this exact situation. I Bow'd your Elf, you Snakeskinned it. Thanks for your info regarding the Amass token. preventing the damage prevents the Amass orc from happening. Didn't even think about that tbh... Ofcourse I had a second Bowmaster on hand, but couldn't use it anymore to remove your now 2/2 Elf.

I still want to know what % against Grixis Delver preboard. I think wasteland helps in that matchup and the stompy/saga matchup. Honestly the list I constructed had additional Pendelhaven (lose 1 colorless source) for Bowmaster. I also like the addition of 1 more snake skin

What's with the Great Stable Stag references? I didn't see it in the deck list, or are you saying you wish you had it?

Short answer: because I'm an idiot. Long answer: I recorded a patreon exclusive video before this one and in that list I did have uro and stag. For some reason, in Round 5 game 2 my brain decided to think I was still playing that list 😅. I was recording for too long and getting tired! However, I do think stag is great again with all the UB colored lists popping up and I will try to find room!

I’m just getting into legacy from modern in which I was an inflect player. If you could do like versus videos with specific meta decks so new legacy players can learn the mechanics of the meta of legacy decks and how infect combat’s against them

I actually did that when I was still streaming! I put them on this channel under the name of 'legacy masters series' and you can still watch them! They are a bit outdated but the gameplay is still very relevant!

I'm just as confused as you are about yorion, which is why I sideboarded wrong. Uro and stag are actually me just being tired 😅 I recorded a patreon exclusive vod before this one that was playing both. For some reason my brain decided to think in r5 g2 that I was playing that list. However, I will definitely try and find room for stag with all the UB based decks popping up!

In Legacy every minor advantage counts so you will lose some games because of this but the deck is certainly playable. You can get a feel of how the deck plays and if you like it you can slowly work towards the other trops. Good luck!

Long time infect player here, gotta ask: is there any room for Bloated Contaminatior in the build? My current meta is riding the bowmasters hype train and while my build is quite similar, I’m personally opting to slot in more threats over more pump although this will need to see some testing. My theory behind is inclusion is two fold, it’s a card that doesn’t get cheesed out by plague engineers and offers a damage based out late game for what otherwise might be a losing game. Also being a three drop with beefy stats it dodges alot of the hate cards that would otherwise shut the deck down, trinisphere , blood moon , chalice, bowmasters can’t shoot this guy down and fatal push or unholy heat can’t cleanly remove it without setting up. Coming down as early as turn 2 with a hierarch hand can be pretty devastating against certain decks not ready to deal with it. I dunno it’s something I’m stewing on and throwing out into the ether. Does this have potential or just a result of overestimating the hype train?

WotC: prints Bowmasters no one: Sam: that's actually good for infect love the optimism :D but I got shredded HARD in my recent leagues. Bowmasters isn't the end, but it was pretty good against me. Have you tried Lorien Revealed yet?

I really haven't had any problems with bowmasters. For our deck it feels like an overcosted fatal push really xD The main problem with bowmasters being played is that black is played again which means plague engineer is back. That card's the real issue. I don't think lorien is what we want in infect so I haven't tried it yet. Maybe I should give it go.

Spellskite is always nice, but there's a lot of white removal spells in legacy and snuff out so it often doesn't stick around for long.
