Not a fan of the Brotherhood mod..... but the Bards and East Empire are great, and worth it. At least the modders get a bit of coin for their work. I heard they get 30 percent. Musicians get 15-25 percent, so it's standard. There's lots of great mods on Steam that are free, but some don't work, or were never updated for SE or AE. It takes time to check them out. Once every 6 months or so, I'll dip into (heavily modded) Skyrim, and every time I'm left with the feeling of: I so DESPERATELY want someone other than Bethesda to make an open-world fantasy game like Skyrim / The Elder Scrolls. After Starfield (and FO4, FO76), I have negative hype for TES6 / anything BGS is making.

The problem I have with this new add-on is that the contracts are coming directly from NPCs. If this is intended to be played after you finish the main DB questline (meaning that the Night Mother is at the sanctuary); why then is no one performing the black sacrament? At least have the new initiates acknowledge that the Night Mother has received and given them their contracts.

I'm not against paid mods as a concept. But they need to be creating Unique assets. I don't just want to see basic quests with vanilla armour sets with slightly different stats. Those, I'm straight up not buying and I think its pretty poor that anyone at Bethesda greenlights them for sale as a creation. Maybe that is harsh, but as a player, I don't find a glorified "go fetch" quest with generic items rewarding enough to spend actual money on. If Bethesda brought out a method for non-modders to make custom quests, this wouldn't be any different from what someone with a limited skillset could come up with. I'm very wary of paid mods becoming a case of "give a yard, take a mile", if Bethesda are approving mods to be sold to player, then there is an expectation of quality. If it becomes a numbers game, and Bethesda stop curating the quality of the work being placed on the Creations, then it will kill things off fairly quick. As an example, Beyond Skyrim, Legacy Of the Dragon Born, Project AHO - all largescale projects, that I wouldn't grudge paying for at all. Similarly, all of the anniversary edition "alternative armour" sets are amazing and well worth rebuying the game for!! Also, I'm looking to get back into Starfield, and Elianora has made Crimson Fleet themed hab for purchase as a creation, this is the sort of quality I'm talking about.

Is "TheOscar0" a member of Bethesda's team? Or is this an independent mod author? Because you've got to give credit where credit is due, if this is not a Bethesda made product, then you should probably say the mod author's name. Because it might be Bethesda approved, but if they didn't create the mod and somebody else did, then they shouldn't take all the credit. I know it's just words, though if you worked really hard on something, you wouldn't want somebody else taking credit for it. That's all I'm saying.. I do appreciate you and the content that you put out, I'm not trying to be rude or anything, it's just that I've noticed this with a few videos that you've uploaded videos and given Bethesda credit when clearly it doesn't say "By:Bethesda". If they could add CC content through non-intrusive live patches, I wouldn't mind. But I wish they'd stop forcibly ruining massive modlists to make a cash grab on a more than decade old game. Steam's interface unfortunately doesn't have a way to disable updates for a game, so you have to manually delete that game's appid from the appmanifest file in your steam folder to basically "hide" it from Steam to prevent updates.

@@icefarrow7959 It doesn't. You can just delay the updates until the next launch of the game. Which is what we modders use because we launch the game from MO2 through SKSE - so Steam thinks we have never launched the game at all. BG3 surpasses both Skyrim, Witcher 3 and Elden Ring by a long shot if were are being honest. And now with patch 7, there will also be mods on consoles, new regions to explore and tons of quests are also added to Bg3, which means it has even more replay value. Even on my current 8th playthrough without mods, there are still new things to discover. When i remember back at playing Skyrim the first 2-3 times all of them completionist runs experiencing everything, you really felt the lack of rpg elements compared to Dragon Age Origins or Pathfinder Wrath of the righteous which both inspired Baldurs Gate 3. Lets have a debate going here, and hear everyones opinion. Lastly i of course admit even with a light weight 4-5 gb mods load order on xbox, Skyrim is still currently a masterpiece rpg game. On Pc i cant even imagine the possibilities with 50-60 gb of space.

Because you are wrong and Skyrim/TES is the king of all RPGs. Elder Scrolls are above any other game universe, much, much above.

Heavily depends on which version of Skyrim you are talking about, the original 2011 version without the 3 major dlcs Dawnguard, Hearth fire and Dragonborn. 2016 version including all the dlcs or the Anniversary edition including everything also the Creation club content.

Yo ESO I’m new to modding on console could you do a video on your load order? Including the new good paid mods like the initiate one and the bards college one

I would 100% buy this dark brotherhood mod if it had actual unique weapon and armor models

I think it has but I am playing it with mods so I am blurry what is what. However you can add free mods that complement them and nexus have the aesthetic changes already for free.

@@Swedishmafia101MemeCorporation Of course not They'll pay Nexus a monthly subscription to download their mods faster, but hey would never dare to pay a modder for their work

@@Swedishmafia101MemeCorporation I'll donate towards some really well-put together mods and already have. But money isn't the focus of modding and ought not to be for a very distinct reason: the fact that modders don't expect to make money makes their works uncorruptible by monetization schemes or predatory MTX-it's "pure" content, made out of only passion to create something that people can appreciate and potentially donate towards (especially if it's a large, high-effort project that takes off, or something broadly useful). Modding is one of the only remaining corners of gaming where a player doesn't have to worry about heavily psychologically curated content designed to entice you into spending money in a low-value transaction. That's why the principle of keeping modding free should matter, at least to anyone passionate about gaming, and wary of the majority business models of games (or their extended content) made in 2024.

No, it's not worth it. Bethesda believes they can push out shitty games and horrible updates and that modders will "fix" what they messed up in the first place. Fallout 4 is still in an abysmal state on console, thanks to their "next gen" update.
