Yep been using those for all my outdoor gear! They have held my ice fishing flasher in the ice shanty!, keep my fishing rods together! They work as an excellent hook keeper! I generally one stick and while rappelling down I use them to attach my one stick to my saddle! I have an old cheap backpack and doesn’t fit my one stick ( as it has the platform built in!) so I use the gear tie hold both the zipper ends together while my one stick, sticks out! Truly invaluable tool

I just started using these things this season. I use it to attach my one stick across the back of my saddle while walking in and to strap my puffy coat down, then I bend it into a phone holder around my bridge once I’m up in the tree. Awesome piece of kit.

Wrapped the metal with fabric tape and its will be MUCH quieter, that’s what I did to mine
