The amount of times I may have said, for example, "I'm waiting to get the final warning catalyst, I've ran 40+ nightfalls over the past couple of weeks", only to have a random person tell me that "I got it after completing 5 nightfalls, and before I did those I made sure that I completed every catalyst I had, I equipped Final Warning and then prayed to the catalyst gods, you should do all of those things", meanwhile, it literally dropped on my next nightfall having done 0 of those things 😂. RNG is a b***h, I had to run over 150 Tree of Probabilities in Year 1 of D2 to get the DFA, and I changed every single variable I could across every single run I did, meanwhile people were joining my LFG posts and getting it to drop on their first run. Also, got Eyes of Tomorrow to drop on my first and second clear ever, meanwhile, nobody else in my clan got it until at least their 8th clears

This build is dope! I used it for a grand master but tweeked it a bit! I used Drengrs lash instead of diamond lance to suspend, for two ways to create darkness debuffs and Aisha's Care as a strand weapon to shoot tangles made after suspending enemies to create large burst of sever using the artifact mod. Amazing Build whichever Aspect you use! Oh and I have no class items. The build killed with chest of in most light!

Just as an FYI, the ability gains mentioned in the mods section are modified by scalars. Glacial is 0.625 and Thunderclap is 0.9. So from legs you'll be getting 9.3% per orb for grenade and 4.5% for melee. From bomber, you'll be getting 7.5%. Not a big adjustment due to the way the build works, but useful to know.

I'd been attached to Jolting Pulse Grenades on Prismatic Titan for the longest time, but thie video finally prompted to experiment with Glacier Grenade, and the speed at which I can gain transcendence is truly wild. Opted for a slightly different fragment suite (Awakening/Honor), but Command's stasis shards to fuel HOIL/Syntho melees is truly something else

if you want a similar build that I cooked up, try doom fang pauldron with shield throw and glacial quake. Using knockout and glacial lance + facets of protection, balance, ruin, devotion, and generosity (if running solo or want to make it more selfish, run command over generosity). Grenade is personal preference, I like shackles. You get a huge chunk of your super back on every kill shield throw and with the increased ability regeneration that transcendence offers on top of prismatic's base ability regen, its possible to use your glacial quake, pop transcendence and have your glacial quake back within 30 seconds, which you can then use again to recharge transcendence. Notable mods include ashes to assets, 2 copies of heavy handed (you could go 3 if you have the mod space) and one two finisher to get consistent uptime on shield throw. For weapons everything is fair game but I highly recommend void weapons to synergize with doom fang's x4 surge effect, I personally use elsie's rifle and leviathan's breath, but most weapons get the job done. I find the build to be incredibly fun to use, in substratum in salvations edge ive gotten as many as 3 glacial quakes out in a single cycle of the encounter, and it absolutely destroys add dense gamemodes. Even in high end modes like grandmasters it performs excellently, though you have to play more carefully and be precise with your shield throws.

I good combo i saw for dps with the Glacial Quake was using the titan exotic glave to create a small bubble in which you just condensed the active area for quake to hit. Focusing all of the damage maximizing the dos of the super.

Checking my vault for class items and while I don't have this specific combo, you really have plenty of great options to go for as long as you got that HOIL bonus. Synthoceps for boosted melee damage. If you run Protection anyway, then you'll benefit with that too. Scars can be useful to also make you a mobile healer, Contacts gives jolts and a stronger benefit to the thunderclap itself and Star Eaters is just nice to have. You really don't need this specific class item combo to make it work and various varients enable useful benefits. I love the exotic class items! Hope they make a second set of them eventually!

I feel like Conditional Finality is also a great choice, for the natural pairing of Facet of Ruin and the build's aggressive playstyle. Special Finisher mod + all that orb gen for Facet of Purpose means never ending special ammo.

I know this is late, but stasis is ok because of the shatter damage. However, I feel that if they made it where shattering, one crystal shatters them all and spreads slow like the season of the wish base kit would be nice.

I just made a very similar build over the past few days but with Wormgod’s. I’m glad I found a build I like bc it became apparent that Titans are very handicapped compared to Hunters and Warlocks. I’ve always loved Titan’s powered unpowered melees, they were so fun in Season of the Witch. An osmosis primary and a grenade that matches the shields of the ads in an activity is great, like for those Harpies with Arc shields. I might switch to the Suppression grenade when Liminality comes back for those Acolytes with Void shields. Haven’t really been using my weapons otherwise though lol Discord is the best perk for specials in the game; I also liked using No Backup Plans with a shotgun as a main weapon but got tired of micromanaging AC to spam special finishers. Cool thing I found today: Diamond lances activate Discord for some reason. You don’t even need to get a kill or do damage, just discard (with scroll wheel/by switching weapons) a lance and it activates Discord. Ergo Sum (Caster, Sacred Flame) with Strongholds was my jam for a while too. Don’t know if I’ll ever have a build that mainly uses a legendary primary…

I did this with the skullfort exotic helmet on my own. Keep getting the thunderclap back & extra heal. It’s fun when u want to switch up for a more action pack play style instead of the formulaic concentrate slam which if u slip up & not do it right can cost you.

I use the exact same build except I use the hazardous propulsion chest and drengir's lash aspect instead of knockout. The orbs made from melee kills and weapon kills keeps me healed up. This gives me another way to use two different AOE blasts at the same time, rockets and a suspend bomb from booster. Get a few headshots and kills for the rocket stacks, and then slide into a crowd and booster backwards. This tosses out a suspension bomb and rockets that can explode a full set of glacial crystals or a full crowd of enemies. Other than that its exactly the same. I've got a roll with spirit of inmost and contact I'll try that out.

For sure, there a ton of other combos you could try, some other commenters have recommended HoIL Contact for example, it's really up to you as long as you have HoIL at base.

Awesome build! I got a HOIL / Arm CI to drop a while back, but left it in my vault after I found out that it didn't provide me a second prismatic grenade, and at the time I was running builds focused on getting transcendence as fast as possible. Kinda took the wind out of my sails when I realized I was effectively running a prismatic class item with only a gimped version of HOIL whenever I transcended. After watching this though, I may have to go dig that bad boy up!

As far as I know the class item version of HoiL only grants reduced ability regeneration compared to the exotic. Does the glacier grenade profit from HoiL.grenade damage increase at all?
