Hey Insym. The ritual was a body transfer aka the demon now lives in that body. It came back to life as the demon Madison instead of the protagonist. That is why he wakes up in the end.

When you realize that Madison needed to kill 7 total people for her ritual, in her time before her death she killed 4 and then present day she completed it with Chanel, Luca's mom and finally Luca. What a game! Great playthrough Insym!

not the demon, Madison, pretty sure Blue Knees is the demon and Madison stuck around after death because she was in the middle of a body swap ritual using the demons ritual when she died so the demon was basically completing the ritual as part of the ritual (demons stick to their word, ie, they complete every deal)

Its the writing. The voice actor is actually really chill and an awesome gamer. He's on Twitch and he did a fantastic job. His emotions and sobbing fit the story and being a 16yo who is thrown into this situation. The acting itself is fantastic. I agree the writing leans a bit towards redundant exposition. But its not NEARLY the worst! Remember Resident Evil!? Or Silent Hill? "Huh...radio. What's going on with that radio?" Another complaint I have been reading is he's not manly. Hes not supposed to be and I would argue most males are not manly anymore. Thats called...a GOOD thing! This actually accurately reflects how most teens boys and 20-somethings would be in this situation in 2022. Times change and so do social norms. For the better imo

The way I read it was that St Jupiter's Cathedral was going to do a mass to troll the spirit basically. "Light the soul so it can SEE into the gates of heaven", not get into. They wanted to show this person what they were missing by doing what they did. Maybe?

iirc the idea is that the gates of heaven are so pure that demonic spirits essentially "see the light" as it were and stop being aggressive, they ofc cant ever enter heaven again but they are in theory no longer sticking around on earth doing evil stuff and simply go to accept their fate in hell

I think the dad is in on it. He was friends with blue eyes as a child and also someone gifted luca the photo camera at the start. It was said that the photo cam was auctioned of at the start so they would have had to obtain it there. It didn’t appear magically, it was given to luca.

This game reminds me strongly of the Delores Chapter of Visage, but on an even more sinister note, it also resembles the 7th guest. It's an old school game, meant to be more campy than scary. It's worth a try, but I doubt anyone would get a scare out of it.

The guy on the tape mentions way earlier in the game that the only known way to escape the demon is to help it get what it wants. So completing the ritual gave Blue Knees whatever it was that it wanted, and so Luca is now free of the possession.

Am I the only one that this item at 1:42:07 makes me think of som sort of an old manscape razor because of the shape, logo and cogwheel? Also Insym if you read this comment sometimes game dev's have to put item number restriction's on inventory space because too many items in inventory can cause item vanishing permanently for the save, lag, broken items, etc. so they might not have had the choice to limit the number of items you can keep on you. But it’s not the case for all the games tho.

The mechanic of the game with having to make photos is very cool. But funfact: you should avoid shaking the photos after taking them. Because if you do, there is a huge chance, that the colours will mix up and the final picture will get blurry still very fun to watch ^^

The most likely outcome, the fact that Luca seems to die, only to reanimate after the cursed camera takes a photo of him suggests that Madison Hale has been successful and taken over his body in a now-total possession: Luca is gone and Madison has won. The camera image presenting him as ominous darkness implies that he has been taken over, and that her soul transferred to him as part of the ritual, moving from the camera itself. Luca is dead, and Madison lives again. Whether his suicide was a genuine attempt to avoid possession or Madison forcing him into dying for the ritual is unclear, but it hardly matters considering the endpoint is the same.
