I've watched ALL the sauna video's, prepping for my own build. Good job making this one. You're pushing a brand, but you're giving detail that applies to all saunas. Solid.

Great review! Do you have a video comparing the Redwood Sauna vs Plunge and the Sisu? If not I would love to hear your opinion on which is best for an outdoor backyard. Thanks!

Stay far away from Redwood Outdoors. They import from China (and don’t mention that anywhere on their site). I’m working on a refund for their Garden Sauna. Terrible quality and design. Takes 3+ hours to heat up and their support takes zero accountability.

@@mctavishtownwhich Sauna do you recommend?
@mctavishtown8 күн бұрын
@@GYMGUYFE I don't know yet. I've been watching @thesaunaheater and I'm leaning toward the SaunaLife G6. Full insulation, double pane glass, fits my spot. Of course, it's $35k with heater and delivery, but now that I've experienced sauna in my back yard, I'm more committed than I was when I bought the Redwood Outdoors Garden Sauna, so I'm now more comfortable spending much more. I also like the Superior Sauna Mod 6. Also full insulation, double pane glass. Looks to be about $20k. Outside of building your own, I just don't see a way to spend around $10k and even remotely meet the Finnish sauna standards. I'm in Montana, similar to Finland weather. If I want to use it all through the winter, I need a real outdoor sauna. Sure, there are tons of barrel saunas here, but when you learn the basics of sauna, you realize the huge compromises you're making. Sitting next to the heater, short life span, incorrect seating height, usually bad airflow etc etc. If you're looking for the Huberman health benefits, fine. Grunt through the uncomfortable, uneven heating. But I'm more into it for the nordic lifestyle. If you're in a climate that's mild most of the year, something like the Sisu stuff could work fine. Of course, I'm super early in learning about this stuff. I've only ever experienced the Redwood Garden Sauna. I'm not an expert by any means.

Since you have the wood shipped from Idaho why not build them there! It would save you $ in your cost and shipping!

Can they make the smaller like a scandi design? Long wide bench on fixed glass side, rocks far back corner when walking in, and lower bench that pulls out that is not fixed?

These are very nice, however very pricey compared to the Thermowood brand cabin sauna. Great video as always, many thanks.

I like that these guys are building from scratch domestically in Ohio. Looks like they took the same Cube design from the Chinese saunas (which Redwood just drop-ships and charges triple) but they improved the design. I’m gonna look into viewing their warehouse before I make a decision.

what about the lights? It doesn't have any light out of the box, right? Can the lights be installed? How hard will it be to do?
@DavidMausJr3 ай бұрын
Yea no lights come with this but easy to install. Everyone just uses the waterproof led strip lights. Plugs right into a close by outlet and cool looking

I would like to know if you’ve actually used these cabin saunas and more importantly, would buy them over other similar offerings? SISU is a very young company and I don’t much in the way of real owners experiences. Looking for a mini cabin to put on a dedicated deck for a Cold Plunge and Sauna combo
@DavidMausJrАй бұрын
Absolutely! This video was at the factory and didn’t have one setup to use but I’ve used the Sisu cabins multiple times and it’s a great sauna! Here’s my experience, because the bench is higher up, the heat is beyond intense and you don’t have to crank the heater to the max to get a good sweat. The wood they use is by far the best. It’s comfortable, no splinters, and larger so it’s more stable and the benches are wider than any I’ve been in so even I can lay down without my arm dangling off. The team is solid and I can easily recommend them. Message me on IG if you have any specific questions, I’d love to help you get the right setup even if it’s not a Sisu. (@dmausjr)

I know this is off topic relative to this video, but now that I have an activ aqua chiller would love a video showing how to clean it out. I have green algae in mine for some reason and am unsure the best way to get it all out.

Hi David. Do you know the type of glass they use? I live on a golf course where people tend to slice their shots. Just curious in case it were to hit the sauna glass. Thanks.

Ive reviewed both, both are good and both get hot. Biggest difference is the quality of wood. I love a good sauna, no matter who makes it. But out of all the saunas I have reviewed so far, the wood Sisu uses is by far the highest quality. My bench in my RWO sauna feels like I am going to break it every time i sit down. Good to show people options so they can make their own decisions
