Hello, I have a question. Should I take this in one portion or two and before exercising or during training? I am a runner.

I wish there was something similar for the $600 price range. Even when the IB 300 was on sale for black Friday, it was still near $900 and I can't even fit in it (recommended for 6'2" and less) I wish a company would just pop on the scene and make something comparable to this or the insulated ice barrel for around $600 and pursue the business model of quantity of sales vs quality of sale. It just feels like a large disparity between a $100 horse trough or Rubbermaid tub, to the $250 drop stitch inflatable tubs, then nothing really available until the over $1k to get something properly insulated. That's nearly $800 in difference between products that's completely untapped and I don't really understand why

Absolutely love your channel. Binge watching these videos. I’m in NE Florida on the water. What sauna would you recommend after all you’ve tried? I have 3 kids all athletes that use it and I love them super hot. Subscribed!

Does the chiller and pump need to stay on all the time? Or is it safe if I were to power it all up a few hours before each use?

These look like a massive chunk of recycled foam strapped to your feet. Difficult to believe this is technically superior to previous designs which appeared to have much more engineering.

I had the same problem with my lid bowing up and I had the tan one that was under covered shade. Also I noticed it seemed like there may have been some chemical break down of the tub in my water. There was always a film in the water. I got rid of mine. Checking out the ice cap cold plunge next.

I worked for Edge Theory Labs, I was the Maintenance Supervisor that was in charge of fixing customers chillers, believe me when I tell you the parts inside of the chiller were Chinese garbage and increadibly unreliable. Hence all the issues.

I am in VA and moving to TN. Buying this now in the winter relying upon the outdoors to cool in a few months...I will be buying and DIYing. I don't know why, but I am inclined to trust you. I will be doing a build in the future, but I am a retired LEO now on a fixed budget. I got many guys and my BJJ gym into plunging...and me still in a bucket... Thank you for all of your reviews. I appreciate your time.

Yeah, not an impressive look. I would put this in a facade. $1000???? That is an impressive profit margin! Wow! That had better be an amazing cooler! I think I'll still plan on the Grizzly.

For sure and like i said, it was NOT looking forward to reviewing this because of that. But suprisingly this was one of the most requested product reviews. After playing with it, I will say it surpassed my expectations but there are still great options out there for similar money

As I continue to watch I am amazed at how much companies are charging for these tubs!!!
@21stCenturyEconomy
@21stCenturyEconomy Күн бұрын
@@kevinorr6880I work for a manufacturer that makes yeti type rotomolded coolers, and the investment required for a mold and foam rack to make a tub like this is roughly $120,000. The material and labor costs (excluding the millions of dollars tied up in property and facilities) is probably $350 per unit in the US. Shipping a 100-pound unit adds about $300. Marketing and affiliate costs likely add another $200 and probably more. So, at a CRAZY retail price of $999, these companies are making about $200 per unit before taxes assuming everything goes right and no one returns anything. It could take them years to recoup the initial investment. You’d be surprised at how much effort goes into making products like these-it’s almost like a charity at times. Consumers benefit the most, while companies often lose out due to intense competition, forcing them to lower prices to stay competitive.

From what i see the quality looks just ok. I think one of the Grizzly coolers for a little more money would be the way to go! I plan on doing a DIY setup in the future with a chiller, filter and ozone. So far the Grizzly cooler is the route I'm planning on. Keep the reviews coming! Maybe something else will change my mind in the future. Hope you and your family have a Happy, Healthy New Year! 🙏

It's still early, but I might have a video topic for you. With it being "winter" in the south, I dug out my stock tank I started in last year. It got down to 50 via the air so I did my first stock plunge since I bought the IB 500. It was so much more intense for some reason. So after lots of thoughts about the two units the only thing I can think of is water volume. The IB500 rates for 94 gallons, but I'm thinking that's filled to the top which we don't do since we need to get in it. So at about 2/3 full it maybe has 60-65 gallons in there on average The stock tank was the rubbermaid 150 gallon, so 2/3 or even slight over would be 100-110 gallons of water. That's almost double the water volume while you're in the tank. I'm thinking the larger water volume allows it to absorb more heat from me and faster than the lower volume which increases in temp even faster when I get in. There's more volume for essentially the thermal transfer that happens from us into the water. The difference becomes even more visible if you're doing contrast rounds. A few trips from the hot tub at 105, to the plunge and the temps climb in the plunge pretty fast. Of course my hot tub is like 500 gallons Then Christmas Eve I did a plunge with my nephew at someone's house, we just got in the pool which was about the same temp as my air cooled tank, it was even more intense, but that's many thousands of gallons of cold water. So I guess as a video test idea, see if you can somehow compare the intensity of a similar water temp, but different water volumes. Smaller plunges, larger plunges, pool if you have one and it's in the same temp range, and maybe even the lake or pond if it get's cold enough. It might be a factor for people to consider while shopping. Have a good new year!

In terms of how well you fit inside, how does the ice pod pro 2 compare to the ice barrel 300? Pretty much the same? There are external dimensions released for both but im not sure about the inner dimensions of the ice barrel 300. Thanks!

Why not just use the cold water that comes out of the faucet in your bathtub? Just buy a meat temperature thermometer which is less than $15 and you can test the temp of the water. My bathtub produces cold water at 55 degrees which is just right for most people. No need to spend hundreds or thousands of dollars.
