@@learningtodrawstudios4773that’s not true they patched the last prop surf because you could literally cross the map in a second this hardly gets you 70m they also nerfed some of the momentum movement from open beta only because you you could come off a zip line slide catch a down slope and you could bhop to keep your speed and just be speeding across the map I think the little movement techs like this add no advantage and it adds to the crazy chaotic feel of the game but even if this did get patched there’s literally no advantage to doing it anyway beside the grapple hook motion sensor tech which I could see getting patched

I think this should be kept as a feauture because if you dont have a medium with a jump pad there arent many ways for heavies to move around and also makes the game a lot more chaotic and fun

BTW, this tech also works with all mines and glitch traps. It's not quite as good as the motion sensor, but it still works. Heck, even C4 works and (kinda) a single breach charge! They all work best with two, but you can technically do any of them with just a single one! After a bit of testing, I can confirm that ANY team and ANY combination of light, medium, and heavy can do this. Works best if you have a light, but as long as each member has some sort of drop able gadget they can do this!!! Thanks for notifying me dude! So cool.

this was possible during one of the betas i played, i can't remember but i think this was possible in the first one, along with insane height gain using ziplines by catching on to it at the last second, allowing you to rubberband yourself up to insane heights. sadly both were removed so im not too sure if this will be kept in but we can hope.

This is hard enough to do that I think it will be fine. The original prop surf was just holding a prop under you and then jumping with scroll wheel, resulting in absurd speed. It was extremely easy to and was way more extreme than this. I am sad they dropped the zip one though, made for fun tech even if it was wonky

if the game leaves this in they should allow the canister to collide without the sensor, it would still require a lot of setup and would be situational so wouldn't be too overpowered, and this way it would be accessible to all builds, more movement tech in this game would not hurt imo

Not to be annoying or anything lurch in Titanfall 2 and Apex is not a correctional mechanic. Lurch is just a force applied when hitting a button a couple seconds after you jump. For example if you jump in Titanfall 2 and then hit a you'll get a small boost left.

@thebugaboo just jump off the propane tank with a Lil bit of momentum and slide, jump dash, then slide again for best results. Def takes getting timing down, but same with grapple you can do a momentum swing and launch yourself and do a series a slide jumps to do a gnarly long bhop that just clears insane distance so long as you have a open environment to consistently bhop in

It's an amazing mechanic, but it feels like the time it takes to line things up, stand on the canister, and shoot it is the same time you would take to just walk forward to wherever you're dropping; sure, you're above and not on the floor, but still, VERY situational

Obviously this can have some uses, but it's not that powerful to be honest. Movement is already crazy in this game so all this would do is give you potentially a short advantage momentarily if you catch them off guard due to an odd angle. If it didn't require the motion sensor it'd be different. The problem is it requires a Light build to operate, uses up one of their utility slots, and thus is not in the current Meta. Light isn't even in the current Meta at all. Can still be cracked with it and be a valuable teammate, but 2 medium + one heavy or 2 heavy + one medium is typically Meta. You can replace a medium with a Light and still be fine or a heavy with a medium... but just not the current Meta. I'll definitely have some fun trying it out before they most likely patch it out. Unfortunately though I'm a flamethrower heavy build player. I could switch to the Lewis but doesn't seem worth it. Most of my games my teammates are awful anyways or don't have comms on. So this would require me to have a pre-planned team to even use.

I did after the video! So there's a few clips of people ascending by just standing on top of the barrell but it doesn't surf in the same way. Best height I could get with this tech was about 70 degrees, which still launches higher than the regular prop jump but also gives x velocity

Th eonly way I find this useful is to not have any fotstedp sounds while trying to get the drop on the enemy. Buit im prettyh surew like the grapple hookl is way more faster that this.
