I’m aware of the two types of players in this game. There are grinders and realistic players. I find more enjoyment in the grinding. Last night around 1am I streamlined my grind, found three new flocks and found the best places. With this update I have to set up like Tahr. Just far enough away from the zones they still spawn and don’t run. I’m going to get really good with the .22lr if that gun wasn’t acting funny. I wish i could enjoy realistic but I don’t. This update took away all my excitement. Anyway good hunting everyone.

Don't feel bad. Me and my son have been grinding pheasants since the map dropped on consoles, never got one. LOL. At least we had some fun and excitement for a week before EW bent us over again with no lube. I am going to go back to only buying their DLC's when they are like 65% or more off. Because that was a straight up exploit of how the tigers spawned. That is not how they were supposed to be and EW fixed it, as it should be. This is how the pheasants were originally supposed to work, and EW fixed the bug of them running around like headless chickens.

While I think the change is moderately understandable, i still feel it may actually make this one of the hardest things to grind now, due to the pheasants being painfully small targets plus the vertical variables vs any other g1 grind that you can easily park 250m away and shoot a still target with 0 issues. I normally dont get involved in the comments in these as i perfer to just sit back and watch as the bombs go off lol but i do gotta admit it is discourageing to see this happen with the pheasants (mainly cause i litterly started on pheasants). I am not above grinding things in video games i mean after all rare achievements/trophys exist and hard work pays off but still cant blame some people for getting upset either. From someone who recently started playings perspective i can kinda see both sides....to the casual player who don't get great ones, who perfers to hunt naturally by sneaking about and playing the game to the full extent and doing things that they would do irl. From their perspective when they see the grinders play they see someone go from tent to tent and if the animal is not there they spam the sleeping bag until they do. This is not much of a issue to me play the game how you want to play and all that its your game lol. The other side doesn't want people to get great ones easier cause it makes them more special and id like to the think that relief you get when a greatone spawns is akin to the feeling of defeating a very hard dark souls boss which i admit feels really good. My thing is the fact that the kill count can get to over to beyond 10000 that i feel is ridiculous only cause it wouldn't make sense in real life for obvious reasons and if it was me then im just gonna be honest if it was me i would make it where every thousand kills you get a increase on a great one spawn and it gets higher and higher till one spawns then it do a immediate reset so that way people can get one and at the same time people can grind for em. That or just go find a moded server and just get the great ones you want and call it a day lmao i dont blame people for doing that either. Either way i dont care. i got two diamond elks with the same exact score and same exact horns from silver ridge so to me that trumps any great one lol

A rule is a rule and bring the one who can do it. Ok, now the rule has been changed but all the changes recently have been aimed at slowing down the gameplay. But basically we have three types of players: grind, realistic and casual players - the effect is only on the first group and especially on console. What percentage of which players, time will tell. I usually never grind so it has NO effect on me but if a whole group of players are demoted against their will... I don't think it's a good move. That pushes the vast majority either into not playing or into modding - which is not really ok in any case. On the other hand, I am VERY annoyed by all the stats in the Codex that we have that have no benefits or rewards. Why can only the one who takes a vacation (perhaps) grind GO ... again, it has no effect on me, I don't grind (although I have GO obtained from the game - enough for me !)

No lol, pheasants will work as intended if you are running up to them normally. But if you fast travel on top of them they fly immediately

I play on console and i just played for about an hour i dont mind the update that much by can they then please just change it that when you spawn into your tent that you are facing the exit doing the 180 is hurting on controller 😂

EW just love taking your money, then sucking out any joy in the game, by making it harder for controller players to grind, especially new players. Then update for patch, constantly crashed my game, then had to delete and download again.

Casual Player and Great One do not coincide. Great Ones are meant to be incredibly tough trophies to get.

Weird it’s almost like getting a great one shouldn’t be an easy achievement that every casual can get. It’s for the people that have time to grind. If you don’t have time that’s on you not the game.

I must be unlucky then I have probably spent 40-50hrs grinding fallow and nothing yet. Don’t know if there’s a way to see how many of a specific species you’ve shot but I’d be curious. It’s such a drag shooting them over and over…. And over

Before this update you players were not affected one little bit , same as any other update that screws grinders this doesnt affect you bums all of you were still able to Play the way you like to play it , this update ruined things for people trying to get a great one pheasant

@@dbear683 my point is if this new patch that came out was never released the non grinders would still be very much able to play the game as they like it and no one would be affected but no they had to change something to screw over the people that grind
