​@mojozach7688 that's absolutely asinine. You guys probably don't remember the hobby bubble of the early 90s, but when it popped (like this one will), it devastated the hobby. Being as the hobby is now geared solely for investment, when this bubble pops, it's going to be ugly for alot of the guys that got bored during covid and made the hobby what is is today. 50 bucks for a 3 or 4 year old retail pack is a perfect sign to stay away.

MJN is a mixed bag. I've bought sports and trading/game card mystery products and some are OK and others were really good. For sports, the "Gem" mysteries are amazing and for Yugioh at one time they had sold a pack that had the Legend of Blue Eyes 1st Print in it, which was insane. I paid like $30 bucks per box and resold the packs individually for $100/piece, no lie. After they caught on to me doing that (I guess?) they restructured it making it the face of the box and was asking like $59.99 or something insane. Regardless, I also pulled a Maxx C from those which was just bonkers in itself. IMO they could remove all the junk $1 packs and stickers and just add one more pack of something decent...

I got an Oneil Cruz image variation rookie card as the loose and some purple card. I can't remember what my fat pack was but it wasn't 2018 I know that for sure. I did get a Mike Trout red border numbered to 70 from I think a 2020 pack maybe. They seem okay as far as pack to price wise.

You definitely got lucky with the run of 2018 series 2 fat packs! I grabbed one at my walmart no 2018 series 2 my fat pack was a 2019 series 2 which wasn't bad and my hobby pack was a 2020 bowman draft 1st edition did get a spencer strider 1st 1st out of that pack.

You can most definitely find the SPs in 2022 Series 2 retail. No lie, I found 3 Bobby Witt SPs in blasters. Now, the luck that I had was stupid silly, like only 25 blasters, but still means they are possible. Actually found another Witt in one of the 4 Hobby boxes I bought. Did not get a double of any other SP, rookie or not

Short print basically means only a few amount of the type of card were made. Retail packs are packs/products sold from retail stores like Walmart or target
