In Splatoon 2, the final Splatfest was Order vs Chaos. Chaos won, so we’re getting a setting almost like a post apocalypse

The lore of Splatoon is pretty cool. While I don't play it, I know the actual lore. It's basically where the world went to war again, melted Antarctica with a warhead, the world flooded, scientists tried to cryogenically freeze and preserve their bodies, but all failed except a cat that was also frozen. Sea creatures thrived and evolved into more humanoid forms. There's a lot more, but that is the bare bones synopsis that doesn't actually spoil the actual story of either 1 or 2. It's just the background of the world.

Dee Bee Geek, trust me, as a massive monster hunter fan myself, I do not recommend starting with the oldest games. The monster hunter games are similar to that of legend of Zelda, where the stories aren't connected game by game, each individual game tells their own story. You starting with Breath of the Wild was a very smart choice as its the newest and has the most quality of life and finest details, and I have to recommend a similar strategy if you want to get into monster hunter. I highly suggest world or rise as they are the newest and the most newcomer friendly, And with time you can slowly work your way down to older and less forgiving games. I would love to see you as a new face to the monster hunter community, so I am trying to make sure you don't get discouraged by all the incredible jank the old games contain.

100% agreed. I always recommend starting with the latest game in the series and working your way backwards if the series piques your interest. There's definitely some things the older games offer that the newest ones don't, but the jank and overwhelming difficulty in the older games can be a major turnoff to newer players.

The 3ds music controls pissed me off so much. Not due to song memorization (once you realize the notes ascending corresponds with the buttons going left to right starting with L -> R, it gets easier), but because the absolutely could've kept the controls similar to to the original. ABXY would be the C-buttons and L would be the N64 A button. Hell, they could've even used the D-Pad like a lot of OoT/MM romhacks use for other things, but noooo.

The lightning isn't redundant, the sky is dark enough to where catching only glimpses of his form was actually helpful and intimidating. I understand this darkening and shrouding ganon in mostly shadow was to keep the game running, but turning down the lighting made the final fight even better imo. even if that's not what they intended, the fight itself and lighting made the final boss what it is.

You should really get splatoon2 (not worth waiting for 3 to star experiencing the series) I suggest doing a couple of the campaign levels to have a basic understanding of the control. There’s special modes outside the regular mode that you need to be at least LV5 to play. Also I heavily suggest getting and at least finishing the octo expansion DLC (first because it’s great and second, finishing this DLC is the only "legal" way to play as an octoling in splatoon2)

I recently got converted to Monster Hunter thanks to some friends. Monster Hunter Rise is my current Game of the Year and have spent so many hours laughing as I hunt with friends. The DLC is a massive expansion if its like the previous games, near doubling the boss count and more locations. Its gonna be a blast

Not everyone who laughed was mocking it. Most ppl were just incredulous. There’s a lot of stuff that makes up exactly why the whole thing is hilarious. The state of the animation industry, the ridiculousness of famous actors who are comedians in these roles, actors who have their faces already made distinct in roles that are already distinct like pushing a square block into a round hole, the actor’s associations with different projects, the translator saying “so cool” & “____ san”, the images they chose & the fact we got them in a Nintendo direct, illumination being illumination which means we get a cheaply animated movie with all these unnecessary celebrity voice actors, & Mario’s creator (forgot his name, Miyamoto?) banning new characters from paper Mario & other things but letting & wanting this to happen.

You always talk about how wholesome nintendo games are when youve played some of the other games...... yet animal crossing is the most wholesome nintendo can get. While seeing gameplay and trailers of it might not look appealing actually playing it you might fall in love. I dont think its stream worthy content though some people would probably like to see you play it. If anything streaming the intro maybe. But its not action pack engaging gameplay but it is fun an addictive in a more casual wholesome way. Its a huge franchise for a reason. Hell even pewdiepie thought he would hate it until he actually played it and found himself getting hooked

Its fun, its wholesome, but its NOT fast paced, it has ZERO action, its a game to play watching a 3 hour stream of it would be a bore and anyone who would want to watch an animal crossing stream weekly needs serious help.... Just play the game yourself. Also everything hes playing has a world to it and lore and history. Animal crossing is just a cutesy sim game. Theres no deep story to it theres no grand experience outside of just living this in this cutesy location and decorating ZzZzzzzzz

I hope I can see Dee playing the original Paper Mario (N64) someday... That'd be very interesting to watch, and it didn't seem like he's played before. That game is my absolute favorite. One of the many reasons why is because it has the best epilogue of all the Nintendo games I've played. Yes, even when counting Zelda Skyward Sword. That game is kind of a "Hero's Journey" and I love the way you can enjoy the post-game after the final boss battle, and the callback to the prologue. I wish more games did that. To me that's "the" canonical Mario-character-arc story.

Princess Peach throws the party again - the one that Bowser interrupted in the prologue - but this time everything happens as it should; plus you made friends along the way (the characters you talk to in the party were a bunch of unknown random people in the beginning, but now you know them from your journey). I was referring to that. It comes full circle.

Monster Hunter is a very big investment, especially if you start off with World and it's Iceborne expansion. Fun game and epic monsters, but it's just one of those games where the end never really seems to be in sight. Always a new monster, always a new rank, always a new quest. I've logged in 500+ hours and I still have a multitude of monsters and variants I haven't even faced off against yet. So if you start Monster Hunter, be prepared for a very long climb. Also, I would love to see you go through Bayonetta. It's one of mine and my husband's favorite games. It's just crazy over-the-top fun action. You like DMC, you'll more than likely love Bayonetta.

My dude i would LOVE to watch you get into relearn monster hunter I highly recommend starting with Monster Hunter World, and then the expansion Ice Borne By the time youre done, this expansion for Rise will be out or close to it. Rise is a very different game, and I think youll like World more to start

Yeah but i really hope he doesn't start with the first games like other series. Monster Hunter 1 just really doesn't hold up anymore. I really wouldn't recommend playing anything before MH4.

That’s the first fully 3D Kirby game ever and I‘m absolutely ready. I always love the depressing/existential lore that’s always in these games hidden behind pause screens in extra modes lol. But the overall vibe in these games except the final boss is always a delight

As someone who isn't usually interested in FPS or other shooter-type games, I can highly recommend giving the Splatoon series a chance. The main multiplayer mode isn't 'kill the other team'-focused (though that can help), and that helped intrigue me enough to try it. It'd be interesting to see you possibly react to all the Splatoon trailers... and also the in-game lore. Besides the multiplayer content, it also has a fair bit of single-player, especially in Splatoon 2 with its Octo-Expansion DLC, if you do decide to give the games a try (though the Octo-Expansion can get... rage-inducing at a couple points, speaking from experience).

I was honestly looking forward seeing your reaction to the new Metroid Dread information/trailer from this direct, seeing how a lot of people were amazed, excited or more pumped/hyped to play the game. Would've loved to see u more hyped from it. Alas, u basically ignored it by not hearing nor looking at it 😔 But I'm still looking forward to see u play it

My biggest hype game from this Direct was definitely Kirby, not only because it's new and the premise looks great, it's a 3D PLATFORMER! Kirby has never been 3D before. I liked a lot of other stuff from this direct as well.

Welcome to the Nintendo pipeline. There's no getting out. Super happy to see these reactions, they've made my day and are amazing And as for Monster Hunter, I highly recommend Rise. It is my personal favorite MH game, as a longtime fan, and it is the best entree point for newcomers. And with this huge upcoming expansion, there'll be a shit load of content. If you want better performance, I'd wait for the PC release, but switch is definitely not a bad option. If you do rise, you'll also be hopping on the bandwagon and hype train for sunbreak and experience it fresh. It's one of my favorite games of all time and it is the best combat I have ever experienced, and the monster designs are on point. I know you'd love it, and if rise is out of the option, world is still an extraordinary game But regardless of what you end up playing, I'll be here to support and watch it! Hope you have the best time with your future plans ❤
