There is another pretty well known animator who for the longest time Animated on his DS. Hes a French artist/animator that goes by Kekeflipnotes, their most known for their animation of Birds/Pidgeons dancing to Classical Music. Plus his fox character.

he did not actually make this on a ds, the console he is using is part of the 3ds family (way newer consoles). the specific model is called the 'new 2ds xl' (which is called a 2ds because it is a successor to the original 2ds, that itself being a stripped down version of a 3ds) coming out around july-october 2017. hope that clears things up.

If someone works for a big animation studio it's already taken for granted that they can animate on literslly anything, even sand on the beach. Just by getting to the point of being hired in a big studio like Disney already means you're a one man army. I am not even employed by anyone yet and I know half the Adobe suite (photoshop, premiere, after effects, illustrator etc), bunch of 2d animation programs, Maya, blender, 3ds max, unreal 5 and the lsit goes on. If you are an animator then by default you're also a writer, producer, editor, storyboarder, animatic creator and an actor because without one of these, you can't make a short film on your own.

I just started using it, it’s pretty tough, so far I’ve learned you can only undo once and there’s no redo’s, I don’t think there’s a way to rearrange frames, and screen very tiny.
