MAN! Working in South Indian Film Industry here. I thought I have enough knowledge to finish my Ad Films. But the more I see your videos my workflow gets super efficient!!!

I'd recommend grouping the clips you want to apply noise reduction to and then placing the NR node in the "group pre-clip" grade section. Essentially gets the same thing done and if you want to apply it to another clip down the line, you just add that clip to the already existing group and you don't have to worry about adding the shared node to it's graph as well. At least that's how I approach it, might be helpful 🙂

Just another way to do it. Thanks for sharing your workflow 👍🏼

Underrated. This is a huge time saver and NOBODY I've come across has mentioned this.

If the noise reduction is on the first node - you can use the command from the top menu Color> "Ripple node changes to selected clips" - to note that even turning it on or off is a change to the node. One of the benefits of using a fixed node tree and having the nodes in the same poistion and number oin the node tree.

I was confused by your comment, so I searched on KZbin and found your comment on someone's channel saying you're not satisfied with "Ripple node changes to selected clips". kzbin.info/www/bejne/gZK2in-Na8ZrhJo&lc=UgygU8o52EruTuxu0AF4AaABAg

@@-CQ That was not the ripple that I was referring to as the problem - it was the registered change of the primary offset that wouldn't register when you went to change something back. I use it on every project for the noise reduction node to turn it off after dialing it up and then applying those changes to a group or selected changes. - The Alexis video you are looking at is 6 years old.

My man you know if you click up top where it says Clip (the clip drop-down list) change to timeline then apply any effects on all clips at once.

@@george.colorist Your method is still quite inefficient though. Your video has 3 clips so its cool, but on real projects, its a headache to have to go in and do this for every clip. In terms of speed and efficiency, adding a timeline node is leagues superior.
@george.colorist Жыл бұрын
@@kalp.patel97 Its a method that can be efficient depending on the project. The method you mentioned could also be inefficient in some scenarios. There are several ways to go about this in Resolve and none are "correct". Use which ever works for you for the project you're working on.
