This apartment is cool, but its not exactly what you’d expect to live in when coming to New York City. The rooms are a good size, but things are a bit strange in places, however since this apartment is the cheapest 2 bedroom anywhere in NYC, its probably going to rent immediately.

I lived in this building back when I was in Brooklyn. Nice working class neighborhood and quite affordable. I do recommend avoiding ground floor apartments or apartments facing the courtyard. Those courtyard lamps can be very bright at night even with black out curtains and sometimes people hangout in the courtyard at night to smoke so it can get noisy.

I wish that I still had one of those toilets that actually uses enough water to flush the contents! Lol I've been plungering and toilet augering my toilet for years. We're a family of 4, don't even flush toilet paper anymore and it still clogs! We end up using just as much water with all the extra flushing as the old school toilets. It's not better for the environment! Lol

The higher outlet on the wall in the kitchen was there for when wall clocks had to be plugged in as they weren't battery powered. Based on the age of the building I'd bet good money on that being the case. Especially if you see the outlet somewhat recessed, to allow the cord to be rolled up behind the clock. Just a little info.

The apartment is basic, but if everything is functional and clean it's quite livable. The location is near the subway, and with limited access to the courtyard it feels safer than some others we've seen. The rooms are a good size and bright. This looks like a good "starter" apartment at a surprisingly reasonable price if you have a housemate. I'd want to locate the nearest laundromat.

If you are able, I would HIGHLY RECOMMEND a visit to Greenwood Cemetery. It's a gorgeous cemetery/park that's got it all! Beautiful landscaping design, great examples of architecture & design, many historical and famous people buried there. The cemetery was founded in 1838 and is landmarked. Trust me, it will be a very educational and enjoyable outing. As for the apartment? I like it! $2600/month for a 2 bedroom is an opportunity! Yes, it's basic (I found the brick "portraiture" interesting) but it works! What REALLY drew me to the unit and apartment building was the proximity of the diner and the flower shop! Hi, Cash! About the toilet...I've heard you remark about these toilets before...when I was growing up in NYC in the '50s and '60s, almost all toilets were like this one in apartment buildings, new or old. My understanding was that they saved water because one flush was powerful enough to send everything down the tubes. Later on, they were replaced with tank toilets, perhaps for aesthetic reasons. The replacements probably used comparable amounts of water. 🤓

I like the courtyard. It looks well cared for and clean. Nice trees too which probably attract birds so one can wake up in the morning to the sounds of birds singing. The upgrades were nicely done, and I like the framed brick on the wall. This is a good deal for a couple of young roommates who don't mind having no laundry in the unit or the building and only one bathroom. Will need to buy and install a window A/C unit. The heat source is from radiators which probably means all of the units have steam heat which is regulated and paid for by the landlord. Are those steel front doors for the units? The front unit door for this place is very thick, and the neighboring unit has a steel door. I like the building's secure front entry, and the walkway to the courtyard has lighting in the ceiling. This is one of the better places compared to those shown in the past few days.

Neighborhood is fairly good. The cemetery is historic with lots of famous folks interred there. Not sure if it's the same architect who designed Central Park. As for the apartment nah.....For that price or a little more a larger two bedroom in Rego Park or Forest Hills Queens can be had.

Kind of a creepy vibe on the entrance and courtyard. I like the street view better than courtyard view. Usually it's the opposite. Bigger closet because it's an older place. The framed in brick wall is kinda strange. Nice sized rooms. Industrial type bath (lolololol 😂 funny; contest for monsters). No laundry anywhere?? Great little eatery places around. Price point a 9 outta 10. Creepy factor a 10 outta 10! 🧟

I love flushometer toilets. I did a renovation on my bathroom & kept my flushometer; I hate toilet tanks!!

That courtyard area is magnificent except for the initial entry point. Sorry but they could have found something more esthetically pleasing. & you know my pet peeve about refrigerator doors. But other than that it Italy is a nice place for the $$$. If it hasn't already it should be rented super quick. Yeah those toilets are almost clog proof as long as they didn't put a water restrictor on it. I do wonder why the apartment next door has a brand new door. Hmm. Cash HOW could you ruin a grandma's pizza 🍕 with pepperoni?? I'd love to hear what the conversation was in Luigi's when you ordered it like that lol

I loved the archway going into the complex but all the fences are weird to me. I am guessing people can’t clean up pet poop in NY either!!! It still was nice but are bills for the entire month are not as high as rent!!! Crazy!!!
