There used to be a little old house nestled in behind that South Platte hotel that my family had back in the 60s I believe it burnt down in about 88. Spent a lot of time dirtbike riding up there as a kid.

I commented a few weeks ago about your tours. This is the type of video I enjoy. If you visit places such as Parker, Superior, Lafayette & Louisville, I'd love to see them. Touring Metro Denver/Boulder would also be of great interest to me. I So wish I could visit this area again. Physical issues prevent it.

Deckers is a small town by what us natives call 2 forks. Where the north and south plat rivers converge. This is where that abandoned hotel is.

Thanks for the trip! Just a memory: I once let a dog I was "dog sitting" for family off his leash next to Big Springs" at the headwaters of Hat Creek, Mt. Lassen, CA. Swift flow with undercut banks. Dog went crazy running along the banks, I thought I was going to lose him, maybe see him again a mile downstream. Got ahold of him. When relatives came back and i told them the scare, they said, oh, yeah, we almost lost him on the beach one time! Thanks for the heads-up, not!

@@radicallycolorado You drove right past it while in Sprucewood. I believe its on the right side of that dirt road heading towards the river. There are still a few homes that you can see from the road. At the bottom if you turned left, there is a sign on the left explaining Night Hawk. It's pretty cool.

Really enjoyed this video! I imagined Colorado to have more snow in February? Greetings from the Netherlands.

Surprisingly we get 300 days of sun here! We get a lot of snow and it melts fast especially lower. We were at about 7000 ft in elevation.

What a cool channel. I live in Canon City near Royal Gorge in Colorado. Over the years I have done a lot of exploring of this beautiful state. There is a lot of history to see. One of my favorite places is St. Elmo, a ghost town at 9000 ft.

@radicallycolorado3 ай бұрын
@@gilbertmartinez6538 yes the road followed some of the old railroad. The trail at Waterton canyon was part of this train. Some of it is trail and most of it is road as it went all the way to South Park. Many old train routes and wagon routes became roads.

Obviously not from here. No cliff type dwellings in the area of your vid. Those are found in sw Colorado. The places you went and mentioned old bottles were not old. To close to town and many many people prowl around that area. If you went in the summer you would/will notice. Hence notice the security door on the granite store. 20th century finds aren't considered old around here. Ummm your whispering in the background was just rude. Colorado doesn't need any more radical people or thoughts. The roads you were on were far from radical for Colorado. STOP letting your dogs poop in the river! Poop has gotten so bad over by Gunnison the CHAMBER of commerce are giving away poop packs for free! Disgusting what outsiders are doing to this state. 6th generation native. 😢
