OMG, that's is awesome!! My mother-in-law has tried to give me a piano for a while and had no idea what to do with it. Now, I'm calling her back about that 'no' answer! I'm definitely going to order some of that paint; love that color green and the dark wax over it, WOW! That stain, having no harsh odor, I'm sold! I like stain but dang, the smell lingers forever. I wish there had been google back in the 70’s. I tried to take apart a upright piano to make it into a plant holder that was featured on the front of H&G magazine. It was a nightmare. My husband was helping and was removing 4” bolts. We finally gave up. You are amazing and that piano bar is beyond beautiful.

Thank you so much!!! What is interesting is one I took apart the hammers pulled right out, this one I had to individually remove each one. I really want to get another one now so I can get more in-depth, it was tough because I was on site.

Well Hello Cry’s Dawna❣️ It has been awhile….I’ve missed watching your videos…..I’ve been focusing on decluttering, cleaning and finishing the last room in our home. I can’t believe today is the day I tuned in….I just saw a picture of a piano turned into a desk and it was gorgeous and something you could use. We received my husband’s grandmother’s piano when she passed many years ago….we have great memories of this piano as each time we visited her home my kids had to play the piano. It’s been in our barn and it is not in shape to be played again…..but it is a cool shape…high back…beautiful cabinet….so cool to see the bar take on this…..you did an awesome job…..love the color and layout you chose!! That is just totally beyond cool! I don’t know if you saw my other response to your other video but my father repaired organs. He had organs everywhere that people gave him. Pianos too! He made shelves, book cases etc. This would blow his mind! How beautiful! Someday, in my farmhouse music room, along with my other two pianos, I could make a piano bar and sitting area for those to sit, drink and enjoy the music! “Live Life Like a Song”

Clever! I love seeing pieces recycled into something completely different. I would do some storage containers below with some interesting texture. Keep the glass bottles, etc to the top half.

Thank you so much for your inspiration! I did try to redo a piece in the blues and greens you used on the piece you did after you lost your little buddy. I teared up for you! My fur babies are very important to us so we know how you felt. That being said, my piece did not come out at all like yours! Don’t know what I did different but it turned into my own creation,so to speak , and I love it but, I did want more like yours ,to be honest! I wish I could show you! I know it’s not perfect but it’s mine! Keep on being your wonderful self and teaching me to be brave and “trust the process”!🌞🐾💔🐾

This is a wonderful idea, with beautiful results!!! 🎶 Note about old pianos: all those felt pads and felt hammers will eventually wear out, and the holes for the tuning pegs eventually become loose from years of constant adjustment. All of those worn parts can be replaced and/or repaired, but the cost is no longer a reasonable investment unless the piano is a high-quality, high value instrument.

Yeah so my friend is a pianist and teacher and she said that the person had to keep coming over and over to tune it and it just got to be too much :) so it was given a new life and now they can admire it without getting rid of it :)

I actually just got rid of a really old antique piano a few years ago cuz it just couldn’t be tuned any longer, it was a beast to keep moving it if it didn’t work & it was just a dust or mail collector. I never thought of being able to turn it into something. I probably wouldn’t have turned it into a bar but watching you just gave endless options it could of been. OMG! I just love this piece 💞💞💞💞 I finally got my 3x4 surfprep sander and I can’t wait to use it. My only question I have is, is it better to have the electric sander or the air sander? My husband bought me the air because the guy from the store told him the air was better and would last longer then the electric. How I don’t know???? What would you recommend?💜💜💜

I built the entire inside of the bar like the wine rack and wine glass holders. You can usually recycle stuff turn them into signs and stuff. I was working on site and so I didn’t really video a lot because I was in go mode, I built the shelves on the bottom and everything on the top that is woodn
