In this town in Nigeria, people live very old because of a certain traditional ritual done with pot and baby placenta.

What i understand here is that these people don't live a competitive life. They don't use juju to cut off their young children's life. They are pure in heart and they take their farm work seriously and they eat fresh food. Development comes with plenty wahala and these people are still maintaining their standards. Its all about longevity for them and not striving for success or houses or cars

Please I beg you tell your people Never let thier ancient knowledge die . Never stop from passing on thier culture or knowledge . Let no strange religion stop the passing on your culture to the next generation as long it is not detrimental to no one. These knowledge of these rituals must be passed on appreciated and respected. These were the traditions that kept us before Western Education .

African people are generally long lived, even in places with an African population outside of Africa, like the USA, Brasil and the Caribbean, the Africans are among the longest lived. What brings the down the average life expectancy is the high infant mortality rate. I Suspect this is not the only region in Nigeria where people live to 90 and more.

The fact that there are many people who are "advanced in years" when on average people in Nigeria die off at 55 years indicates that "Ude" isn't "make believe". What fascinates me is that there are many communities in Nigeria that have a distinguishing feature. I remember you introduced us to the community with the highest incidence of twin births in the world. This isn't coincidence. I believe other countries around the world have communities that are endowed with one gift or another.

Myself, not being this region but see so many similarities to where I come from it's fascinating every time to watch. The continent has lost a huge chunk of great things that made or make who we are as a people. With all these losses, the only way is to find a path to learn us to stem further losses. We more that bind us as those divide us... To the person who made soup for that powerful Mama should try harder next time😂. She's brilliant! 💪🏿👏🏿❤️

Just record as much our history as you can, old talk and all. So much of our knowledge, good and bad (Juju and all) has and is being lost. Some might sound ridiculous or even evil but knowledge is POWER. You're in a good place to record it and maybe in the future we can use technology and study to not just save our history but put it to Good Use. God be with you my man. You might go down in history if you record enough in DETAIL. 🙏

IT'S SURPRISING THAT UNTIL TODAY & WITH ALL THE INFORMATION OUT THERE SOME KZbinRS ARE STILL CLUELESS ABOUT THE ORIGIN OF CHRISTIANITY. THEY DON'T KNOW ANYTHING ABOUT THE MOTHER CONTINENT THOUSANDS OF YEARS BEFORE THE EUROPEANS STEPPED THEIR FEET ON THE CONTINENT. DO THEY KNOW THAT ALL THE GREEK PHILOSOPHERS STUDIED IN AFRICA? DO THEY KNOW THAT ALL BOOKS CLAIMED TO HAVE BEEN WRITTEN BY THE GREEK PHILOSOPHERS WERE IN FACT ST*LEN FROM AFRICA BY ALEXANDER THE SO-CALLED GREAT & OTHERS? THEY TOOK THEM TO EUROPE TO COPY, PLAGIARIZED THEM & CLAIMED TO BE THE AUTHORS. DO AFRICANS KNOW THAT BY 2350 BC AFRICANS HAD ALREADY WRITTEN THE 42 LAWS OF MA'AT FROM WHERE THE 10 COMMANDMENTS WERE COPIED? AFRICANS & AFRICA ARE THE BEGINNING OF EVERYTHING. UNFORTUNATELY, THE WHITE MAN HAD COLONIZED THE BRAINS OF MOST AFRICANS TO THE EXTENT THAT VERY FEW AFRICANS CAN THINK BEYOND THE BIBLE, QURAN.... THEY CAN'T THINK BEFORE THE BEGINNING OF CHRISTIANITY & ISLAM. THAT'S BEYOND 2000 OR 3000 OR 4000 OR 5000 OR 10000 OR MORE YEARS AGO.

ALL physical bodies will die and go back to the earth- ashes to ashes, dust to dust, but the spirit never dies! Spirit is energy and can never be destroyed, only manipulated. If one just does right by people and does good while here- righteous acts, their spirit will dwell in light. There's millions of people living in remote areas who knows nothing about Jesus- so what about them? Most ppl with Jesus have done the most atrocious, evil, diabolic acts all in the name of Jesus!

Obviously, some of these people are not comfortable telling everything. I think its part of Afrikan spiritiality: what is for awo ( the initiate) is not to be revealed to the ogberi ( the common man).

It's nice to live longer, but I would like to live up to 80 plus. If god is going to square me. I want to be able to do things for myself, instead of trouble or worry my family.

Unbelievable. I know only the royal family in Benin city normally stay above 115. Regular royal members 90 plus. My grandfather was 121 when he died. We calculated from 1897 when he was already a man.
