Thanks. I think you're gonna like Copper Harbor. That town is a little slice of heaven. If the winters weren't so freaking long up there, it'd be a pretty sweet spot to retire. We love sitting on a bench at the lake and watching the sun set after a long day of riding when we're there. It's so zen.

For Blue-trail rider, is there any alternative line on that trail to avoid all big drop and jump stuffs and just enjoy the trail? and which protective armor and pads you recommends. I have been to cooper harbor but never been into MTB trail. I have climbed Brockway on road bike all the way up twice and the road was rough enough that I though I was on MTB trail already. haha
@dukeofmtb3 жыл бұрын
Yup. There is ride-arounds for everything. It's still gonna be a little scary the first time down, especially if you've only ever ridden blues. But you'll be fine if just take it slow and easy. We like the Alpinestar Bionic Chest Protector with the removable shoulder armor. Don't forget your knee pads. Good luck! 😁👍

Eventually you gotta hit DTE. It's in Chelsea. So so good start on green lakes loop, work your way up to kame, winn, sugar loop. Hey Duke, you know when the Cassidy loop is gonna be done at DTE? Supposed to resemble copper harbor. I love copper harbor. Overflow is amazing. Have yall hit the South Marquette Trails Duke? They are just as amazing as copper just a lot of climbing to the top. I was that fella that ran into you at Boyne in the parking lot. Keep up the good footage. That one cliff drop on Overflow is just mental. The one with the ride around towads then end of the trail..Havent worked up the courage to hit it yet!

Gap jumps are simply the stupidest thing in MTB. It's fun to jump. But when minimal traction is available due to skinny tires (I ride MX dirt bike as well) and no way to crank a bit of speed at last second, they are simply dangerous baloney. So many people getting hurt needlessly. Even if you are a top MTB rider, ANY run up to a jump can be slightly off, ending in disaster.
@dukeofmtb3 жыл бұрын
I wouldn't mind if all jumps had a tabletop just in case. 😅
