This a true story. Mr Wrigley was the lead singer’s neighbor. I think a lot of us small town people can relate to this song. It’s a beautiful song.

This is erroneous it was originally written by Craig Wiseman. Craig dropped the song off to Ronnie and highlighted the “I raise my hands” verse. Ronnie filled in the blanks but, it is not a true story. Trust me I wanted it to be true in every way however, even though it’s not a song based on actual events, it is a song reflective of Ronnies heart, thoughts and upbringing.

Words written in red are Jesus words in Bible. How true they are. I had a lady who helped raise me and this song hits on alot of levels. She died from cancer a few years ago and I think about her and lessons she taught me everyday. She was my other mother. So I was blessed to have 2 mothers in my life. She introduced me to folks as her "white daughter". We didn't see color between us. I mean it was obvious we were 2 colors, but to us, that's where it ended. We saw each others hearts 💕 and souls. That's what mattered. Thank you for your reaction. I know it hit you deep. Does me too so your not by yourself in that. God bless you honey.

I remember being about 7 or 8 years old I'm going to stay with my grandma on the weekends and she had this big and it was big print Bible, and there was always these words written in red and I never knew what they were and she told me that they were Jesus words and I swear I never forgot I have remember that my whole life is the first time I ever heard this song I was like oh wow

People that I worked for putting up hay, setting tobacco etc have passed away. I feel your pain. I read that this song is based on a true story, so yea Ronnie was bearing his heart as he sang!

Ronnie Dunn is the singer of this song, Kix Brooks is playing the guitar 🎸. Ronnie went to college to be a minister, they asked him to leave when they found out he was playing music in clubs on the weekends. The words written in red he is referring to the Bible.

Can’t nobody sing gospel like Ronnie Dunn..hits you in the heart every time he opens his mouth. Don’t know if this story is personal for him but I can relate. Grew up my entire 54 years in the south..Louisiana and for me it was an old man named Mr Ambrose. I’d go see him every chance I got. He lived right down an old dirt road close to my house in the country. I was about 9 or 10 (he died when I turned 14 😢) when I met him and I loved him dearly. We sat on his porch, walked the dirt road and talked and laughed. Some of my most precious memories.

I just watched your " Thunderstruck " reaction and then this reaction to " Believe " . You're not just reacting, you feel and hear the music and lyrics. This is how reaction videos are supposed to be . Your Thunderstruck reaction was high energy and I was cracking up by your energy. This reaction was probably the most honest and sincere I have seen. One of the best storytelling songs I've ever heard😫 this is part of Ronnie Dunn the singer story when he was young and it just makes me think about like this younger generation and how they don't really interact with older folks like I did growing up in the late 70s 80s and 90s so so much fun and so much knowledge and you know the way things are in the world today and all these new laws and going backwards 100 years kids Don't see that kids are taught that like I know it's a video and their actors or what not but that stuff really happens in real life if you just let it. It's just a kid and his neighbor growing up together basically and he loved him like a father or a grandpa Brooks & Dunn or a very very underrated band. Very good live I just watched your Kelly Clarkson reaction and you are now my favorite person so here in a couple weeks I want to join your patron page 🎹🎤💙 thank you againi💙💙💙
