If we are completely honest with ourselves, we have nothing to hide. We can be who we really are. But when we are not free to be or if we protect the self with layers of "clothing" because we are afraid to be vulnerable or exposed, or we don't want people to see our insecurities or our shame, that is when we need clothing. We are hiding our inperfectness. But all of us are just human and having a human experience. We all failed at being perfect. Oh, well, let's just move on and be real because being naked is who we really are.

The opposite of vulnerability could be considered robustness. While vulnerability entails openness to harm and attacks, robustness embodies stability and resilience to external influences. In the world of Isaac Bashevis Singer, one might say that humanity, in its quest for security and survival, harbors both vulnerable and robust aspects. Like a delicate melody infused with the wildness of life, we dance on the narrow edge between our vulnerability and the strength we muster to face the storms of existence.

Love can seem pointless, true. If you weren't raised in a loving home & managed to make it through adulthood without it, love can seem like an unattainable fantasy. Or a luxury you're not worthy of; incapable of managing. Esp when you hear mostly negatives from others about love, agree. I rarely hear people openly talk about how much they love their spouse, children, friends, etc. (A loved parent, sometimes, yes.) But when they do, it's usually followed with, "...but they drive me nuts!" Or, "If I had to do it again - (marry; have children; trust a friend.) I wouldn't do it." People often tell me how lucky I am that I never had kids & it's an awful bummer to hear. Esp when some of these parents made mistakes that simple common sense might've prevented. Instead, they blame their children for not being good enough. And make their love for them conditional, based on how well they handle or mishandle their parental mistakes. It's a confusing mess, sorting it out. Explains why many people run from love instead of to it. One mistake & life can become unbearable.

I felt being in the zone twice only in life, that I can remember. Once when go-karting as a boy, where thoughts and driving flowed, and then regained consciousness - left the zone - when I realised I was driving without conscious intent. The second time was playing American football as a teenager, when everything was quiet and the air rushing through the helmet was oddly loud.

I also lost my baby sister January of this year it’s been one thing after another but I remember what you said in one of your talks went time…. they’re those people that lead a charmed life… And then there are the rest of us lol. Can we be strongest when we endure what we must, is that resiliency? endurance is always vulnerable, we may see it as a form of strength but suffering and life on this planet are an inseperable part of existence. all living beings experience pain, all experience suffering.... and vulnerability plays a major role in suffering. The entire role of civilization is wrapped up in vulnerability.

Thank you for sharing your wisdom I appreciate it but it’s very easy to loose focus on your video when you have to go through so many ads.
