The complete short game guide for chip shots around the green - with Special Guest
A few weeks ago you probably saw a short game lesson where I worked with arguably the best short game coach in the world, Pete Cowen.
I wasn't able to share everything with you in that golf video so today I'd like to reveal some of the key insights Pete Cowen shared on how to develop a chipping technique that seems to guarantee strike every single time.
It's impossible to strike it perfect every time with a driver swing but for your chip shots and pitch shots around the green it 100% is.
You just need a repeatable chipping technique. In this lesson I'm going to expand on some of the principles I've shared in the past to include some of the little secrets that only someone with Pete Cowen's experience working with the best players on the PGA Tour would know.
You won't believe how simple this is. The best players in the world make the short game look easy because they choose a chipping technique that makes it easy.
My hope is that whatever level your short game is right now this golf lesson will elevate it to something that will make make you smile and will be the envy of your playing partners.

ABOUT DANNY
-----------------------
Thanks for stopping by. I created this website as a resource just for you to support you on your golfing journey as I know how tricky learning this game can be…to say the least!
I personally found learning the game too long and difficult in the early days. I read all the books, watched all the videos but my game was not improving. Then after studying various forms of neuro science, motor learning, psychology and personal development in less than two years I went from struggling golfer to the final stage of the Open Championship.
On KZbin and my personal website (www.dannymaude.com) I will bring you the most up to date training, training that is getting tangible results for my clients right now. I don’t know where you are in your golfing journey, you could be just starting out or maybe your body isn’t as flexible as it once was or you’ve got ambitions to slash your handicap. Wherever you are I’ve created a place here you can learn, share your ideas, ask questions and get all the support you need to enjoy this great game.
Be prepared though. If its a quick fix you are after Im not your man. Here I will give you step-by-step advice that you can take straight to the practice ground and apply to the course but it will require you to get stuck in, screw up…a lot, practice some more and then watch those scores tumble
I’ve had the pleasure of coaching thousands of students all around the world and if you are up for the challenge and are ready to get in the game…LETS GO TO WORK!

I think this is what I needed to break 88. The vertical tip and where my hands/arms finish was a game changer on the practice green today. It’s like I felt like I knew how to chip cause I could hit some great shots but the consistency just wasn’t there and that inconsistency was almost always a stroke when it occurred. Basically sometimes thinned it across the green or just couldn’t commit to the power of a chip due to being afraid of that thin and left myself short chipping or putting from the fringe.

Tied an all time best today in big part to these tips! 6 up and downs today! Was 1 over with 2 holes left, and a bad bounce on 17th tee shot made me double bogey that one, finished 3 over par. Thank you for these tips Danny!!!! Going to break par soon I hope!!!

Nice explanation with another person who has to learn it. Chip is fine. I knew only to put the iron upright, but it still feels a bit special. and nth pitching remains spicy. I still love that driver lesson with someone who only has to change something small. I'm going to practice again and greetings from the Netherlands.

@@DanielMaude Today I spent almost an hour on the mats of the practice area. Still not getting the check that I had hoped for. However, distance control was so much better using the processes you explained to your Father. To put this into a more realistic scenario I tried the techniques on our short 9-hole course from the ladies' tees. It's a par 31 (1200 m). Missed 5 greens but put together 4 up and downs for par. Only one messed hole with a skulled chip through the green for a bogey, but compensated for that with a 10 metre chip-in. So carded a gross 31 off a 21 index. Truly gob smacked by this result and celebrated too much over lunch in the club house. Afternoon 9 holes off the mens tees (still par 31 but now 1900 m) but still managed a more than respectable 34. So overall your techniques have brought a significant hope to my game. Tuesday and Thursday next week on the 6000 m par 72 course where I hope to change the typical 3 and 4 shots for missed greens into a number of 2 shot up and downs.

Anytime I hear someone is struggling with the same problems I am I turn them to your channel. Pretty much realized I've been playing wrong the entire time (which is fine I've only golfed a few years) but I wish I would have started here first.
