@@octopusdreams Large companies like Louis Vuitton could quite easily pay an independent software development company to create their own version of this system and avoid paying 40k anually and 50% of all profits to this woman's company. Its a terrible business model. Small companies are the only ones who would potentially use this company's system, and yet its financially inaccessible for them with the model she is proposing. Large companies are making tens of millions of dollars in profit why would they give this woman 50% of that when they can invest a few hundred thousand and create their own system?

It is bad on both fronts on small and big businesses. Small businesses will have to cut down on a lot to afford the 42k whereas the big businesses will be loosing 50% of their profits. The small businesses won't get this and will move on whereas the big businesses will spend that money they would on this to create their own. This does have a market to go to, but she rigged the price so high because she is very proud of herself and her business that she deserves so much money. On a plus side, I do know computers, coding, and servers. If they didn't copyright protected that code then what is stopping me from getting said code and make it on my own basis? Smartzer is still going and, yeah, the revenue model is significantly different. I was around in e-commerce during this time and there was a dozen offerings like this. The 50% rev share would be one problem - the clients in the market for this simply didn't make enough profit to agree to that - but the other problem was that the user behavior just wasn't there. Now, the problem is even worse - they only watch on KZbin, Meta, TikTok. I would suggest that tools which allow you to upload better content to those platforms might get more traction. Also - lol at Deborah and her 'I could build this for 42k'. I suspect at some time some poor dev has sat in front of her and heard the brief of 'I just need a simple photo sharing app...'
