⚠⚠ I have kindly been reminded by the community that you can duplicate Ashes of War, meaning you could have Seppuku on both weapons, however even with this, I feel having Seppuku and Bloody Slash is the better combination 😁

Using sepuku on your second weapon eliminates sepuku on the first once you put it away in order to set up the second.

Bandit curved swords are better and you can get them real early, seppukka on both is better too because time to kill ratio is much higher than using the bloody slash, so you are wasting time. That said, do you, if you like that playstyle cool. Do it, my armor set I use on my bleed build is rotten gravekeeper cloak altered with rotten duelist greaves and page hood because I like the way it makes my toon look, it's not best and probably the worst thing possible to wear, but I look cool

You only need to defeat the nameless white mask that spawns behind the tree (3rd one) you don’t need to defeat all 3…You can enter that area from the road ledge area (bird rune farm) to avoid spawning the others and go to where he spawns..Also if you’re having trouble just lure him to the edge bait his roll and let him roll off as you dodge..

ANY Aow can be duplicated by Hewg as long as you have a Lost ash of war. So if you want seppuku on both weapons…there you go.

Bandit curved swords can be farmed very early and will do you just fine until you can get the beastmans curved swords.

I had a laugh at this as well. Bandit curved is a great alternative until you get these if you want to stick with this. I am doing a similar build but until I get to Farum I am a simple strength build with the Greatsword. Will pump arcane once I get to Farum.

For anyone wondering, best starting class for these stats would be Hero who have minimum DEX and high STR/ARC. For other Arcane builds not involving STR Bandit or Samurai are usually more versatile, depends which stats you're leaning on more. Bandit if Arcane, Samurai if Dex/Quality.

I like your channel Dom so I’ll assume you didn’t know, but this exact build was done by Titus Actual (Dr. One Shot) and he dropped a video a few weeks ago. As far as I know, he’s the first and only one who talked about str bleed and str/arcane and his video has a complete breakdown.

Just checked out that video and it's unfortunatley way out of date, it says 1.09 but it was released like a week before 1.09 even came out, and it advises to use a load of stuff that has been nerfed or is currently bugged.

FYI the jellyfish shield buff changes the hit box of some spells. Catch flame in particular cannot hit enemies at all if you use the AoW of the shield making it even worse than the other buffs

Ah yes the level 300 level every Stat "build". There is a reason why people play at 100-150. It's way easier to match with other players and you can do just as much damage with a focused build.

Beastman curve are great but try that War Hawk Talon with Seppuku and Blood quality! You go through stuff like water, like water and if this thing had innate blood build, you think Rivers of Blood was bad, Geez this thing is incredible! I'm on play through 3 and I'm slicing through things like butter

Have you tried using Darkmoon greatsword, shard of Alexander, magic scorpion charm and crimson amber medallion 2. Start by L2 then use R2 for attacks. This gives unlimited midrange distance attacks until the moonlight runs out. It is capable of stunning a Giant on mountaintops in NG2 after about 3 hits, especially if you get a hit from up close. I tried your suggestion and out of curiosity how does it compare to using Rivers of Blood with Uchigatana using sepuku? The bloodloss in that combination is insane although you don't get the initial 4 hits on your build.

I'm no expert but I was using Uchi +25 and RoB +9 with the occult affinity on Uchi (no benefit of blood affinity if there is already passive bleed), and those weapons with 70 strength and 70 arcane had like 78 and 81 bleed. The beastman combo with those stats, set up as Dom outlines had 115 bleed each. The 4 hit thing is a good point though...

It might be true about the full build part for scavengers swords but once you have them you can do a 4 stat build that will out scale the bleed damage build. It ends up with str dex magic and faith. Also the damage types are mixed enough to were most bosses with resistance to something like bleed will still take a good amount of fire or ice damage. I used the build to beat the game to play through 8. I solod every boss fairly easy till the nerft buildup effects still could do it but allot more or just some friendly summons and easy still.

Soooo, should you run 2 Seppuku if you can? I have two and unless I missed it in the vid I didn't see it lol, I could use some bloody slash for more diversity but numbers wise I'm not sure. I'm also curious on your thoughts about using two gargoyle twin blades with STR scaling bleed vs this. I'm just bored trying to figure out the maximum DPS build. The twin blade is the exact thing, just different weapons.

Repeating Thrust is better than blood tax. Same ash of war but blood tax has life steal. Repeating thrust however does way more poise damage.

I was stuck on him in ng+2 forever but i was able to finally beat him using the Pest incantation that shoots out the bugs that follow the target. You pour points into whatever it scales with and use some appropriate talisman and you’ll down the beast in no time. I think I learned about using that incantation on a build covered on RageGamingVideos channel sometime in the last couple months.

Couple things This vid is great, such a clear and concise way to break this down. As that fourth interchangeable talisman (if you're in NG) it's worth using Millicent's Prosthesis as the effect states with rotten winged sword talisman. Also aside from Thorny cracked tear, greenburst crystal tear will give you more DPS for bosses because you'll have less downtime. What's great about this build in general is the stats translate perfectly to Marais Executioner Sword. All you need to do is use Godfrey Icon, Millicent's Prosthesis, Shard of Alexander, and Rotten Sword talismans. You can also use Magic Shrouding Tear and Thorny Cracker Tear. Str Arc is the way. Hi Dom, I had opened a ticket with Bandai Namco with regards to the lack of status effects on spells and incantations in 1.09. It seems intentional and not a bug apparently. This was their response: The technical team have confirmed that spells have been balanced in the latest patch and the described situation is essentially a reflection of that balance. While this is an intentional mechanic, I appreciate your point of view and that of many other players. As such, I will be passing on your feedback to the appropriate department. I did a bunch of testing for bleed with Curved Swords way back closer to release and found Scavengers to be the best with Bandits coming in second, but with Hemorrige and Savangers nerfed I guess I thought Bandits would be on top. Glad it's not Beastmans looks way cooler.

Most recent builds I have seen out there have required NG+ to be able to complete the build so I wanted to do a build that you can at least complete in one playthrough😁 There are alternatives earlier on in the came if you want to re-recreate most of the build 😊

Instead of using Morgott's Great Rune for the increased health, why not use Rykard's Great Rune. Since you are using Seppuku and Bloody Slash, both of which drain a little of your health on each use, Rykard's would be a good rune to use to gain health back on kill. Good for the trash mobs, although, not as useful for bosses, unless it's a multi boss fight.

Enemies in pve deal either 50 or 100 poise damage (for attacks that don't knock you down or throw you around), so 51 is the first break point.

You might be able to experiment with blood blade but the thing is that blood blade is a little weaker that bloody slash because you have to hit with the weapon and the blade that comes out but that is just for me you could make in work some how

Oh!! I had no clue about the sorcery Incant nerf. Thank you so much. Yesterday I buffed with golden vow and flame Grant me (as we all do) and got no increase for any attack. Have they also nerfed Godfey icon? It feels less impactful.

I have noticed that Golden Vow in particular will render some AoWs unusable... as in, zero damage to enemies when using the AoW while the buff is active. I hope they fix this soon.

I had the sacred order ashe and sacred blade which did add to my AR along with golden vow and FGMS. But maybe it was only 1/2 of those working... Damn, if they fix this my build is gonna be a lot stronger than I thought lol

Does seppuku work with god skin peelers/ I run bloody slash on my right but when I put that away and have the left peeler equipped I can't get seppuku to work. I use Lionel's gear set with claw talisman, rotten winged sword insignia, dragoncrest greatshild and twinblade my poise is 86. Nevermind I figured it out.

I mean saying the main reason you don't wanna go scavengers is that you need to go to ng+ and then saying you can fully use beastman's in base game is kinda hypocritical. The game is almost over by the time you can get 2 of these consistently... if you wanna talk about base game you have to talk about scavenger's+bandit's curved sword. Also, you are talking about the scaling on beastman being B on str, which is higher than the dex scaling on scavengers. WHY would we care about dex scaling on an arcane build using occult scavengers sword, if you wanna compare, you have to compare STR scaling on beast vs ARC scaling on scavengers and NOT dex... Last but not least, the main reason scavengers is considered the best is because you can just dump all your points in arcane and not worry about any other stat. Having to max out 2 stats instead of 1 is kinda frustrating unless you go over 150. Having said all that, thank you for making this video. I might sound like I'm hating but I'm not, I enjoyed watching and just wanted to leave some feedback
