When I was like 3 my uncle was playing this and I asked if I could try it. I absolutely loved it and played it everyday until he left because he met someone and was going to live with her. Obviously I was like 3 and never knew the name of the game, and after 12 years, I found this video and clicked on it. I saw the gameplay and literally said wait a damn minute and I instantly felt nostalgia. It was great to see this game again

That sums it up basically, gameplay is good but story wise its trash honestly, it makes 0 sense why Mercer would just suddenly turn evil and wanted bad for the world, when in Prototype 1 he wanted to do good in the world actually (cure)

Prototype 1/2, infamous1/2, Mass Effect trilogy, MGRR, and Fallout3/NV were the games i played non-stop during the ps3 and early ps4 era I wish they'd make a Prototype 3, or a game similar to it as a spiritual successor

Out of the two big superhero games at that time prototype was definitely my favorite more so than the other one with electrical powers 🤣 I still play prototype to this day, I even have the jacket irl.. btw the game does work on Steam you just have to set steams affinity cores to only run on four cores and disable all HID devices in your device manager. There's also on the Steam community pages they download pack for high refresh rates better textures and widescreen support actually look into the Steam community page it's worth it to get this game running correctly on PC

Actually you can play this on steam, but you have to do something first. 1. Open Task Manager 2. Go to Details 3. Find then right click the steam.exe process 4. Next click "Set Affinity" 5. Uncheck "" 6.Check only TWO of the processor cores. 7. Play the game. Optionally you can also use dxwnd to play it in windowed fullscreen. Since it seems like this game and a some others won't run if you assign more than a certain number of CPU cores to steam. Don't worry the affinity resets when you fully exit steam, no need to log out of it. And if not you can just undo what you did.

Oh and speaking of flying, you can use Critical Pain Devastator without firing to hover around but in 2, there is a Unlockable DLC that allows you to indefinitely fly up during the gliding mechanic, unfortunately the Unlockable DLC isn't available anymore from last I tried the code.
