I have heard there are some animal welfare organizations in Africa that tells and shows people that they are rescuing baby animas and they take care of them until they get old and then they are sold to poachers and hunters (basically rich men from western countries that thinks hunting and taking a pic with the hunted animals makes them looks cool and rich). I am not saying that this is the same type of organization but be careful and try to gather all the info about the well beings of the animals before donating any such welfare organization. I really wish that the genuine ones get all the help and donations to keep up their nobel work

That young female elephant was just marvelous with Ndotto, and he seemed to understand the comfort she was offering. So happy that the situation seemed to work out. How could the villagers kill one of these intelligent, sentient animals for no reason? And she had a small baby with her. Sometimes I hate people, but then I must remember that there are wonderful people like these wildlife workers who work on rehabbing :) Thanks for this.

Elephants trample their crops and also nothing more dangerous than an elephant with their child who feels threatened. It’s very easy for humans and elephants to come into dangerous situations with each other as they loose their territory to human development

They villagers aren't the ones who poach
@nadiabairamis3854
@nadiabairamis3854 Жыл бұрын
@@mortalclown3812 no that’s not what I said- there is a difference between hunting them specifically or defending your crops and family etc. however.. poachers will often offer locals huge amounts of money to help them get elephants. When you have a family to feed it’s hard to resist. To save the elephants we need to stop the demand of elephant tusks and stop continually reducing their territory. These seem impossible tho.. but programs that help out and work with local villages and farmers to live with and maybe even benefit from Elephants continued existence helps.
@hiighway_chile4080
@hiighway_chile4080 Жыл бұрын
Villagers often don't attack elephants unless their crops got eaten and /or an elephant charged and attacked a villager. Poachers are the cruel ones because they're driven by greed..they don't even have mercy to end the suffering of the baby elephant left behind..they'll just kill the mom and leave the baby to starve and suffer.

@@noobartist3762 he's right, the people in power are pretty much called the 1%. That's because those few have the highest position of wealth in the world, and they use the average joes like us to do what they want. They have long made plans to keep the masses divided, and from taking a united front against open and covert dictatorship. The main tools they use are racism, and class. Because they know those things will keep the masses from having a united front against them. If they didn't have these things in place they would have no power. People who think their race should rule the world are the people who have fallen for this trick the most. So in return they will settle for broken promises from their leaders in order to have a false sense of self worth.

Nothing like watching a touching video like this that is talking about the extreme emotional intelligence of these beautiful animals, only to be interrupted by an advertisement that is for Hillshire Farms sausages, which is made up of a bunch of ground up pig flesh/muscle - and pigs are animals that are even more intelligent than the dogs we keep as pets. It is extremely disturbing shit with the amount of cognitive dissonance people have regarding animals, and the advertisements that are put on videos like this that pay tribute to animals! 😡

@@wms72 99% of abortions happen when fetuses don’t even have a functioning nervous system that can feel pain (the remaining 1% are only done for extreme circumstances where the mother’s life is in danger, etc). _Embryos/fetuses cannot even feel pain until at least the 28th week of gestation._ And there isn’t an issue of human species endangerment like there is with elephants (in fact, we have an issue of overpopulation!). Here in the USA, no state allows abortion past that point in time (28 weeks), except for rare and extreme circumstances (like I mentioned before -- the mother's life is at risk, or the fetus has a terrible genetic disease wherein it is suffering or will suffer a lot post birth, or will only die after birth, but not before it suffers a lot first). You probably eat animals everyday that are fully developed, and have no problem whatsoever with killing/eating them, but for some reason people like yourself flip out over a fetus *that can’t even feel pain yet* being eliminated, so that their fully developed mother can live a better life. Yeah, as a woman I am always going to prioritize my life over something that can make my life a living hell depending on the circumstances. Deal with it. For the record though, I have never had an abortion, and I also haven’t eaten animals in 30 years.

It might also be that some people are experts and they don't agree with methods in the video (first I hear about blowing up elephant's trunk for example). Majority is probably concern trolls who out of abundance of love for the elephants are worried about diseases or habituation of elephants and humans, Percentage could be drunk or not wearing their glasses or accidentally pressed the wrong button. Now THIS is how humans can help animals. When they need assistance until they can fend for themselves, then back to their natural habitat

My heart goes out to these amazing creatures. Its awful to know elephants are still being killed for their tusks & their population is dwindling. I hope the efforts from people like these in the video & the WWF can help these intelligent animals as much as human possible.

What a group of wonderful keepers. The guy is basically a father to the baby elephant, sleeping in the same stall as him. Thank you so much for taking care of these majestic elephants.
