I wish I were there during the record breaking attempt - amazing achievement!

I love it when you included the part of our attempt where I said that I need a massage on my back after holding that LHe transfer hose for 20 mins in the most awkward position ever 😂 Anyway, from Team China, sending our congratulations to you all for the new world record!!!!! 🎉🎉🎉

Thanks! You are a very talented team of overclockers and I was very impressed how you got to 9G on the first helium attempt. I hope to see you try again and challenge for the title!

This was interesting, congrats. While I am in process of optimizing my Ryzen 7700 to 5.2Ghz all core using PBO, CO, etc. :)))

Every overclock is relative, but it is the fun for every enthousiast how far to go and how stable you want it. Good luck.

Welldone, but 160 million cubic meters is 160 billion liters (1 liter is 1 cubic decimeter).
We all know that if AMD or Intel threw IPC out the window they could acheive lots and lots of ghz easily. It is not practical and reducing performance to clock higher would take away from the value of overclocking. Point is.. a cpu will certainly pass 10ghz.

Congratulations to the team. It has been nearly 20 years since Intel famously predicted we'd have desktop chips running up to 10 GHz. I do believe we'll see it hit at some point (perhaps with you pressing the button) but this historic milestone will likely remain untouched for quite some time. Well done!

-Hey guys let's do world record over clocking. -for what? It will not even be used 1 time IRL. -for fun. -I'm good. You go for it. You've never touch a vajayjay before anyway.

Walking the edge of everything is why mankind achieves so much and why there is development and inovations. Walking the middle road is boring and mankind doesn't learn much there to go forward with technology. Go figure what is best to do.

SoonHo (safedisk) was later able to run both SuperPI and PiFast on liquid helium as well. The frequency was approximately 8.5 GHz. Admittedly, those benchmarks are only for a couple of seconds too.
