(*Patched as of v1.1.2*) There is a newer, and much simpler method out now. You can either use a shield-hop, the paraglider, or Mineru (if you know, you know). Just pause mid-air when performing a shield hop or dangling on the paraglider, hold whatever items you want to dupe, and press Y and B simultaneously. No transmutation so you won’t accidentally overwrite items, and can be chained up to 4 times in a single jump to hit 20 items laying on the ground.

Important Information: This was patched with the 1.1.2 version of the game released today. You do *not* need your duped item in the last slot. That said, if you choose to dupe something that is NOT in the last slot, it will remove(!) items from the next slot over to the right / down the list. So be mindful of managing your inventory before performing this glitch.

You can also do this in bullet time. All you have to do is jump off an edge and pull out your bow. After doing that you can do the glitch as much as you want. The only bottle neck is the number of items you can put on the ground.

Also, if you wanna dupe fairies, i would either go someonewhere with a roof and to make it easier, climb on a wall. Most small caves should do the trick. I would recommend saving before you dupe fairies. You can either to the shield hop way, or if your on a cave and climing a wall, you can hit jump and down and link will hop off the wall, which should be enough space for you to pull out your paraglider and dupe the normal way. Once you are done you really have to spam A bc the fairies will fly away so grab as many as you can.

i did some testing. it doesnt need to be the last item on the list, it just needs to be after whatever the item with 1 is. its basically the same glitch as the infinite pokeballs in pokemon colosseum. tries to take an item from a slot its no longer in.

EDIT: It DOES work with two, I have noticed timing to be a bit of an issue. From what I've noticed it has to be 4. I tried duping with 2 held items and it did not work.

It seems simple. Jump, Glide/Surf, hold item you have one of, hold last item, close inventory. Unless you need a frame perfect input or something, it just won't work in 1.0.0. Updating my system and game now to try

Tbh i dont think theyre ever gunna fix any of them since they never did for BOTW since the glitches themselves heightened replayability to incredibly high levels and also are super fun in addition to being a selling point of the games and theyre not "game breaking"/file ruining.

Cannot 100% confirm, but I believe I was able to activate the glitch without the desired dup item on the last item slot. I only got it to happen once when I had fewer than 4 of that item. I was not able to reproduce this effect. Items in question was a silver lizalfos horn being used to duplicate diamonds, which I had 2 of.

I tried this glitch and found that you don't need to have the duping item as the last item! So what I did was organize everything by type, then as I'm flying I select the single item and then 4 dupes. I grab everything and have my duped items! Then just repeat by organizing and duping. I think the single item can't be the last item on your inventory, but not entirely sure.

If you dupe an item that isn't in the last slot of the inventory, you will lose some items in the slot right after the one you are duping
