A) The glitches shown works on version 1.0, 1.1, 1.1.1 - Unfortunately 1.1.2 Patched these glitches. Research is being put it to see if a new setup on 1.1.2 works atm. Q) I am struggling with the Weapon Duplication, any advice? A) The thing's that you can try to do differently are: Swap the weapon you are trying to duplicate/transfer over, change what is fused to it, or drop the 2nd weapon after the unpause/pause, then load the save. If neither of these things work, you're timing is simply off and you can try to either be faster, or slightly slower on the pauses. Q) I can't get the Weapon to drop into the corridor, any advice? A) First, make sure the position is correct. You want to be roughly at the height I am at in the video, and at that position. You can try to use a different rock setup if you cannot get it with mine, the rocks are not important to the setup, only the position value is. So if using a different lineup let's you have about the same height and position, that works too. This is just what I found to be the most consistent. I have also heard that certain people switched the type of weapon that they were using, and then it fell into the right spot and not out of bounds, so you can also try that. Q) I did the Zuggle Glitch but I lost my fuse after leaving the Shrine, any idea? A) We are not 100% sure about this one, I was able to leave the shrine just fine, certain other people also were, while some people said it lost their fuse. My guess is something related to how the game loads or unloads the "donation weapon" on the ground that we used to fuse the Master Sword, or something with Shrines, or what is equipped when you leave? Some people have said that after fusing the Master Sword, before leaving the shrine, that saving, returning to main menu, then reloading the save makes it permanent. Like it said, this one is a bit more strange. You should never lose the inf durability Master Sword, but fusing things to it seems to be a bit strange.

I know a fair bit about programming (not from a game dev perspective though) so it's also fascinating to theory craft about why this kinda stuff breaks... Given that pausing and unpausing seems to be core to most of these glitches, my guess is that the different steps of moving items around/dropping them/etc happen on different frames and you're able to interrupt those processes, much like a database going offline halfway through a transaction

for anyone having trouble on getting the timing for the weapon transfers: when you unpause and pause again, make sure you are not pausing *too* fast. the timeframe for pausing again starts when the weapon *appears* after dropping it. if you unpause and pause again, and don't see the weapon behind link, then it won't work and you need to try again.

One thing I’ve noticed playing this game, the menu for loading prebuilt structures actually takes enough time to load to swap into another power. I’ve once swapped to ultra hand before the menu popped up. I quit out before I could fool around in it but I feel like something weird might come from it.

@@radsammyt2238 You'd be surprised by how often glitches occur due to menu layering - That was the entire basis of like, MOST Fallout 4 duplication/infinite resources/similar glitches. On your power wheel is quite a few things that open menus, like the map, the amiibo one, etc. I wouldn't be overly surprised if there was something you could do there.

There are 3 layers including the Depths (the size and magnitude of the underground shocked me, as it was not really highlighted in trailers nor marketing material) , so stack the explorable area, then add the numerous new caves around the world. Plus, it's not just size of the map. Even on the Hyrule layer with reused assets, TotK seems to be populated with way more "stuff" and distractions than BotW - so it's not just empty open space. The new game mechanics and physics are interacting with the terrain in interesting ways as well. Then there are 152 (?) shrines and the interiors of some can magically sprawl out to be huge city blocks by themselves. Then add the multi-floor Hyrule Castle and 4 Temples. The game feels like a super MASSIVE black hole of a timesuck - way bigger than PS Spider-Man and Miles Morales, which both take place in Manhattan. I've dropped 100+ hours on TotK and feel like I have only scratched the surface.

This is more of a lot of moving parts, and a new engine that has not been worked out fully. I mean take Unreal its been around forever and it is absolute dog shit compared to this engine, though it is in general dogshit. It is fun to use though if you can use it. Hardware though would make it hard as hell to keep up with everything thus allow bugs to open up. It is very old, and Nintendo should think about erring on the side of caution and actually going closer to modern day next time so they have wriggle room big horse does not mean you doing it for graphics. You need it for other things as well and I hope TOTK shows them that you know it was possible to put this game out on it but barely so maybe we should allow breathing room next time. Hopefully, they make a truly limitless world. It is doable to make a map where you can go anywhere. As a dev me and mine coder have worked out two ways to do it for our game.

When your doing the master sword glitch you can also save inside the shrine and use the autosave that happens after you beat the bats that attack you it works just about the same as doing it the way your doing it. It is also removes the risk of losing your main save if the game decides to autosave a lot during the new game.

I believe the game won’t overwrite saves from after the one it’s trying to make, so you can set the time ahead, get an auto save, and then set the time back so the game will think it’s got an auto save already made as it’s ahead of time. BotW was like this, you could use it to make protected auto saves during big glitches that require manual saves.

Just did this and wanted to add an addendum If you zuggle the MsgNotFound sword you'll notice you will have the glitched version and the regular version. Dropping the regular version will "break" the glitched one, turning it back into the regular one, from my experience.

I think there may be other conditions that cause the msgnotfound sword to lose its fused upgrade as well. I just redid it and it reset back to 30 after doing some amiibo and open chests and dropping a weapon to make room for chest weapon. 🤷‍♂️

also, at least for me on 1.1.0, if i do it exactly as linkus said, the fused master sword will show the increased dmg in inventory but the ingame visual of the sword is normal and as soon as the other weapon that you leave on the ground despawns (either by going too far away or teleporting away) the sword reverts to 30 dmg. The solution to that, that i found is just saving and reloading the game after you picked up the fused master sword, after reloading the weapon on the ground will be gone and your master sword should still have the buffed damage and show the visuals of whatever monster part you fused when you pull it out

The game doesn't seem to know what the base of the weapon is, almost as if the pointer is defaulting to something else in your inventory because when I reloaded, it said the base was "fuse attack power" which makes no sense but when I hovered over something else in the inventory, it immediately copied that base and it now says Gerudo Claymore.

Linkus, me and my brother were playing and we discovered a new glitch! In the quest where you save the trumpet player from the hole, if you start climbing the wall before the screen goes dark, you will lose the ability to fall, and can only go up. Falling off of something just keeps your movement speed until you hit a new object on the same elevation if that makes sense. Kind of like the glitch where you pick up a bow and a pot and float, but much easier. If you start climbing again though, it gets disabled. Hope this helps!

Just a little tidbit for anyone having trouble getting the Master sword to respawn in your auto save(the shrine save), it is possible to pause and unpause too fast, I have noticed that whenever I got the sword to drop vertically behind link it would respawn but if I did it too fast the master sword would be at a diagonal angle and it would never respawn in the shrine.

If someone has trouble transferring a weapon to the start of the game, try to ultrahand 2 boulders on each other instead of 1 boulder and 1 stone. You get more height by doing so, making it easier for the weapon to spawn.

8:14 if you go right and break the pillar instead of going left and grabbing the small rock. You can grab a chest which if you flip upside-down is both a slightly higher platform when fused but also mostly stable ground. It seems to still slide link but it's way slower, to the point where it's almost unnoticeable

An ultimate tip for anyone else not being able to transfer the first weapon to the start of the game, let’s go higher. I combined the three boulders forming a triangle and placed it diagonally where it’s shown on the video, then on top of that put the small rock to have somewhere to fit nicely as the video describes. Got it first try after this, hope it helps you too. ❤ Just imagine a pyramid of boulders with a stone at the top.

use a weapon with a big hit box like a cobble crusher, works way more consistent (at least when i tried) edit: you can find a cobble crusher at the bokoblin camp with the one silver bokoblin and two black bokoblins at the bottom of death mountain (just head east from area with all the building stuff, it should be the first small camp on the outer edge of death mountain)

For anyone having issues with the duped sword and reverting damage; Save your game immediately after you pick up the fused master sword, and then reload. This will despawn the item you're discarding, Then, youll have a 30 dmg, and whatever you fused with. Drop (or keep) the 30, if drop, save and reload again, (to discard the duped sword) and then fast travel out. Your fused damage will stay. Edit: the fused item durability is *not* infinite for gibdo bone or ancient blade, they will still break after one hit, reverting your sword back to MsgNotFound

Something I will note, when you fuse the infinite master sword, make sure you don't have it equipped when you enter a loading screen. If it is equipped when doing so, will cause the sword to reset.

As u see in the video, the weapon is stuck in the wall for a second. Some weapons glitch out of the map instrad of inside. So be quick if you see the weapon and pick it up. Some weapons shape isnt very good for the Transfer in this position, so try different weapons. Also, u want to see the weapon u transfer behind ur back after u double + on that rock.

The one thing about the smuggled Master Sword is it doesn't seem to get the double damage bonus that the regular Master Sword gets against glooms enemies (i.e. most thing in the depths and Phantom Ganon) so it feels much better to just dupe the champion weapons or Royal stuff with Silver Lynel Blades for fighting anything stronger than a Black Bokoblin.

What I love is the fact that the only way to get these glitches is if you are trying to get them. So there is no way you get them in a casual playthrough.

For anyone struggling with the sword clipping through the map, I advise just sticking two of the large boulders together, then position the boulders at an angle against the wall so link is higher up. (be warned the weapon may roll down the stairs into the cutscene door though)

after succesful zuggle, you have to immediately save and return to title screen and reload that save, you should be able to fast travel or leave shrines without losing fuse item damage buff

Finally got it to work. I went ONE step higher than you did on the dark staircase. I went to drop the Sword and when it was VERTICAL behind Link, I loaded the other save for the shrine. Lo and behold it was there, resting in the water.

Thank you for the easy explained glitches and steps to reproduce them. The weapon transfer between saves was relatively easy to do but the fusing weapons glitch was a bit of trial & error, since both the position and the pause speed can screw it up. But after about 5 attempts I saw my master sword and the other weapon held at once and I knew I succeeded. Thank you! I now have an infinite durability 85 damage Silver Lynel Master Sword. :D

For those who are unsure if it's still possible to get the glitched master sword, I just managed to do it after a good number of attempts. The small Boulder is optional, and a spear works great as well.

I traded the small rock for a bigger boulder. Connected 2 big boulders and tilted them in a way that I would be slightly higher than if i used the small rock. Also I didn't slide off. My weapon kept appearing inside the steps in the other save - with video method. I thought, i probably need to get higher so my weapon appears above the steps. So it worked. Also I used quick ++ (as seen in video) despite what others in comments say.

@@royalet7982 Check if you have a duplicate Master Sword in your inventory. I noticed that happened to me too. Just drop the non-fused duplicate before you leave and you should be fine.

I can confirm that at the time of writing it does still work. It took me quite a few tries to get the weapon into the intro sequence, and then a few tries to get the msgnotfound to the shrine. But it does work. Stand correctly and time it correctly (version 1.1.1)

For anyone wondering both glitches still work in 1.1.1 but the dupe is slightly different. You need to do it as normal but after pausing/unpausing you need to drop the second item as well and then equip a third item so you need to dupe two weapons into the start to get the msgnotfound

@fecalmatter128 ok so you're going to follow his route exactly until you get to the weapon dupe parts. Everything other than the dupe glitch is exactly the same. When you get to the first dupe to get the weapon in to the start of the game you need to do the glitch he shows but instead of loading the manual save after the pause/unpause you want to drop the second weapon you equipped and then equip another weapon. Then you go to the manual save and pick up the weapon. Manual save again and go back to the shrine and repeat to get a second weapon in. Now you do the normal setup to get the mastersword but with the altered dupe glitch

I was having trouble with the master sword smuggle and learned it seems to be possible to double pause too quick and also fusing two double handed swords (cobble crusher to a royal claymore) helped me pick up the sword even with imperfect alignment

I followed the instructions and everything worked as intended, until I left the shrine. At that point I had 2 msgnotfound in my inventory, both not fused, and was missing the original stick and lynel horn.

Figured out that you need to switch out the master sword in your inventory so the stick no longer thinks its fused to the same item as the master sword. Then you will have one glitched version and one normal version of the master sword. You shouldn't drop the normal version until after you have gone through a loading screen (exiting the shrine or teleporting) you can also perform the same glitch on the "normal" one again to get another fused master sword. Useful if you want a blade and a club.

So, ive done the "zuggle" as instructed several times now and it works but the normal master sword stays in my inventory and when i leave the shrine the fused master sword just becomes... another normal master sword. Now i have 3 bootleg master swords. What am I doing wrong?? Lol

Nope, it's 100% safe. That's why I used my main file, and in the steps I go over how the saves work because I understand people can be paranoid to lose their save. The instructions contains safety saves along the way and in-depths instructions so should'nt be an issue.

Kinda cringe you can’t fuse msgnotfound to anything tho without glitches Edit: just remembered that the master sword does a *BONK* to specter ganon (the guy that spawns after killing the gloom hands, the name in Italian is spettro ganon which when translated to English is specter ganon so sorry if I got the name wrong) and thus probably does 2x dmg so am gonna check if the msgnotfound sword does the same

Hey mate I appreciate you're work (:, just something that I noticed about the duplication glitch, i found it more consistent if you are in cramped place, like the village shelter, & also if u drop several items in sight there; I'm in no means a glitch expert nor have pro gammer hands, but in there I'm able to pull it off 7ish/10 times vs 1-2ish/10 when I was in a shrime... I feel it widens just a little the window for the + + to work... Hope it helps!

Okay it's fun to have infinite durability + fuse on MS but since you can drop it can you have a buff on it too like a +10 with the octo ?

Most unique dropable weapons are instantly spit out by the octos, like the demon weapons, Champion Relics etc.. and since the MSGNotFound is TECHNICALLY a Master Sword, I doubt it would work :P

You can still pick up the item you drop for fusing the fake master sword. Once you dropped the fused sword and weapon, you can pick up the other weapon FIRST, then pick up the master sword. I found that it works more often if you do use it, and gives the master sword a cool effect of what item you used

Interesting that after fusing at 17:11 it still says unter Master Sword: [30] Gnarled Long Stick + [37] Silver Boss Bokoblin Horn So it got the damage value [30] from the Master Sword but kept the name of the Gnarled Long Stick. Amazing what technology can do these days.

I may give this master sword a shot. I do not mind durability too much, but it is as a pain as it is in the original to me. I just hope I do not fail too hard at it with my fat fingers. Practice weapon duplication first and see how that feels. I already use the Yiga special move for mining because I am tired of running out of weapons in the depth lol. Always end up with like a stick or two left and then bam Obsidian Frox or whatever up my ass. Can't wait for the movement tutorials. I want to sweep the sky islands before too long. I can use machines but they do not always work sometimes lol. I may do both. Hope you find a way to clone a stack of items at once lol. One diamond at a time for a few rupees is a pain, or for some bomb flowers.

Quick note when you fuse a item the glitch master sword with zuggle don't leave the shrine, from the door otherwise it will unfuse warp to somewhere like another shrine or Lookout landing, or any fast travel point to be exact and it will keep the item fused to it entering a shrine will unfuse it so keep that in mind, you won't be able to get more hearts for stamina containers because you can't get more lights of blessing😊

when youre sending the master sword back to your main save make sure of 2 things 1- when you pause unpause make sure you can see the sword appear. if you pause too fast without it dropping then it wont worl 2- if it doesent transfer over its prob bc it gets stuck in the floor and noclips out. try jumping when you drop it in the new game so it spawns a little bit higher in your main save

Tips on weapon duping from my personal experience Stand with link facing the side of the camera -- the weapon drops behind him, so this makes it easier to see whats happening. You want to unpause then pause again right when the weapon apepars behind him. After you pause again, if you cant see the weapon or if its partially transparent, you paused too fast. If the weapon has started to fall even slightly (hard to tell when facing forward, but MUCH easier to see when facing the side) you paused too late. Obviously this is all too fast for reaction speed, but after using that to judge myself, i can rpetty reliably get a succesful dupe in 2-3 attempts (plus it helps me not have to waste time loading on failed attempts)

If you are struggling cloning weapons from one to another save file: it is possible to pause and unpause to fast. Someone already wrote that but what I also realized is, that if you pause too fast you won‘t see the dropped weapon in the blurred gameplay background, so check if you can see it, if not you are too fast. I was struggling for around an hour 🥲

For the first weapon I used a royal halberd with the rusty claymore in the shrine, stacked two rocks and a chest to the left of the line in the wall, the halberd was actually stuck in the ceiling beneath hyrule castle, but I was able to pick it up and duped msgnotfound first try back to my main save

while doing the master sword fuse glitch i got a different glitch i havent seen before, the weapon i equiped last became stuck on the master sword like it was meant to but without dropping that last unfused item and was perminately stuck on it. when i swtiched back to the msg not found master sword it dropped the weapon it was stuck to and when i opened my inventory i had another master sword
