Zing is rumored to be hotter than the Carolina Reaper and I happened to stumble into a chocolate brown variety of the pepper that I can't find anywhere else...will the last episode be the one that finally does me in?

Sounds like a powder, sauce or tincture pepper if you ask me!! The ones that don’t taste good raw are the ones that make the bestttttt sauces. I would have to suggest this this pepper, the Chocolate Zing is the series favorite! Not because this is the last pepper of the series, not because of the heat level necessarily, but because of the pods themselves. And so now I would be wondering, how may your speculate the flavor and heat of those pods may have changed had they be able to remain on the plants for a few weeks longer? Awesome Series Baus! Looking forwards to this week's Blizzard to melt off and maybe offer a glimpse of spring! -Bob...

I think if I had a couple more weeks in the season they might have tasted slightly less floral and maybe a bit more of the earthy sweetness would come through....growing again for 2023 so hopefully I will find out!

@@bausgrows At that elevation, what does that give you for a typical growing season? Here at just over 3000 feet, outdoors life is about to be plastered again by a good spring Blizzard over the next couple of days.

@@wranther usually mid may to early October. They call it about 140 days but being a desert our may nights are often in the low 40s so it's a trick...and yeah, we usually see a blizzard late April/early may. Mother's day with 10" of wet spring snow is not uncommon!
