A "perfect" fake 😅. That's the generation gap showing. I'm approaching 50, but I've been playing video games since I could lift my head, so it couldn't be more obvious. We're used to watching computer graphics every day. Not just in games but movies, online, tv, store front&billboard ads, etc. It's everywhere, and we don't even notice it anymore. Some older folks are completely fooled by what would be childishly clumsy graphics to us. But we're going to have to start being vigilant. Pretty soon we'll be fooled too without some serious study and maybe apps to help us. I'm not realty worried about being fooled by A.I. I'm afraid of the under 50yo people that can be fooled with current AI.

I used to feel bad for people fooled by AI imagery, like "look at these silly Billies". same way for decades now how I couldn't get why people are fooled by CGI in general when it so clearly appears fake to me but that "used to" stopped abruptly in recent months when I realized that my 20+ year streak of *easily* identifing visual shenanigans is gonna end pretty soon cos it's simply getting *that* good, and terrifyingly fast in maybe 3 years it might be *impossible* for most people to tell fake from real without some digital assistance, and even then you'd have to trust that the digital assistant is correct in it's assessment

This is simply a deepfake of a ping pong match. The only use of AI here is to replace the player on the lower half of the screen with a robot skin... There is no robot currently capable of being so light and limber at the same time. This is at least 10 years or more away from being real
