Proud owner of the Zenfone 9 here, after almost 1 year it feels like just brand new, despite heavy use and more than half the storage full of excellent videos and photos. My entire family started switching to Zenfones after seeing mine, either because of the size, the glorious image stabilization, or the headphone jack... the latest has been my wife who received her new Zenfone 10 some weeks ago and she is also loving it, and they gave a free chromebook as a launch promotion 🤯 as well as the standard charger, cable and case. Personally, it felt and still feels like an insult from major brands to have removed the headphone jack, and to ship a flagship phone even without a cable. It's literally like paying for your meal at a restaurant but having to request cutlery at an extra cost... Asus is going the opposite direction, developing cutting edge phones in reasonable sizes and prices, with no compromises and having the decency of adding a cable, a charger and even a case. RESPECT for ASUS. I'll keep buying their Zenfones.

Security Patches (4 years) are not going to affect you in any direct way on your daily use. Even if there is any malware out there, they are going to release a patch if your phone is outdated. Major updates (2 years) is probably the bigger concern. But anyways, most probably you are not going to miss any major functionality on later versions of Android if you expect 5 years of usage. while i do have a nitpick for not having ltpo panel, i kinda understand why. They were able to effectively cut cost by using a 1080p non ltpo display while still being able to preserve battery life, due to not pushing a QHD display. If I'm not mistaken, a native 1080p display will preserve more battery than a QHD display running on 1080p so i guess what asus did makes sense since the display is smaller, while not jacking up the price.

4 years of security update is actually pretty good, i hope they bring it up more cuz the phone gets a lil too much criticism for the 2 year software update which is pretty bad but not as bad as they make it to be

I own the Zenfone 5, been using it for the last 3 years and a half, I love it.

Android is such a hodge pudge of OS versions across so many different phones that essentially all apps support OS versions at least 5 years out of date. Often even older.

This is definitely my next fone after 1+7T. So tired of big screens and weights (even with my big hands). And that not plastic and not glass back. Wow, my heart to Asus ♥

the zenfone 9 was my choice after I broke my 1+5T. dont regret my purchase at all.

I have a oneplus 7t switched from Samsung flip3. I love good battery and oxygenOS. Is Asus anything like oneplus and oxygen os??

I low-key want this phone! But my s20 fe on Android 10 has been rock solid for 2 and a half years

@@TH3NAMSU as i can see, asus should be better for me, of course considering size and weight. I even won't miss fast charging :)

I've been following Marques since I don't know, probably 2012 or 2013. Up untill now I am still amazed of how brands are seriously taking notes from his reviews for their next launch or innovation. How influential he's become 🙏🏽😂

Looks like the perfect phone... Eexxxcccceeeeeppppppttttttt... The front facing camera. The hole punch instantly makes this a no-go like every other phone with it. Hopefully the underscreen camera catches on and more companies can get hold of it to use.

I love how MKBHD is now the go-to for companies regarding their yet to be released phones😅

I use the Pixel 5 right now. Won't be upgrading to any of the newer pixels due to the under screen fingerprint reader. So this looks like a good alternative now that they added wireless charging.

Wow idk how u even use that phone.the pixel 7 was the slowest Android phone I've used in almost a decade

@@lobsterstrangeThe pixel 5 is not the fastest but it’s definitely not slow.

@@anthonyt425 you've clearly never used a flagship phone in your entire life. An old ass OP7 is still way faster than a pixel 7 the chip isn't even in the same boat as a snapdragon 750

@@lobsterstrange Lmaooo! What an assumption to make!! I have used several flagships (I'm using a Iphone 13 Pro and Galaxy S23 Ultra right now). Obviously a Oneplus phone will be faster than the Pixels, did I ever say they weren't? I even say that "The pixel 5 is not the fastest." Try to read before you respond.

@@anthonyt425 clearly ur a liar because after using flagships it's night and day between a pixel 5

The biggest problem Ive had with the Zenfone 9 has been widevine security level issues. Even know Netflix will not run hd content due to it detecting the level as L3. Asus have done nothing about this. There's a support thread about this on their forums.
