@@tokaplanospito1341 Not sure, I could see it being Greninja, but I am not convinced yet. If a card has the same formula as umbreon I dont see it ever surpassing. Until that formula changes like pokemon creates numbered cards or something, I just dont see it anytime soon. Umbreon is a story and part of Pokemon history now during one of, if not the biggest boom pokemon has ever seen and maybe ever sees.

I'm a pokemon fan from Hong Kong, just in case you guys are interested: -umbreon's chinese name is 月亮伊布, with 月亮 meaning as moon and 伊布 as ''eevee'' -people in hong kong prefer to play the actual game with very strong decks, there aren't a lot of people who actually collects them, but i'm into both (currently using gardevoir ex deck) -we only get 5 cards per pack for traditional chinese pokemon cards, but the price is a lot cheaper. -there's a place called sino centre in mong kok, which you can buy homemade pokemon packs, some of them offer nice cards like iono full art and lillie PSA 10 -people in hong kong are so crazy for iono cards as she is a great waifu -in hong kong the name of rareness for cards are often different. we call illustration rare 'AR', special illustration rare 'SAR', gold cards 'UR', those SM cards with rainbows idk what they are called in english 'HR', and full arts 'SR' -not a wholesome fact but my favourite pokemon is sylveon and alolan vulpix and clefairy :)

I’m new to the hobby and I think at the end of the day as long as I am happy with the cards I get then it’s okay if I don’t have a moonbreon equivalent. It’s so easy to give in to FOMO and the “potential” of making money on pokemon cards. It’s only been a couple months for me and I already see how much money I’ve sunk in just learning what I like and with so many great sets coming right around the corner it gets so overwhelming! Plus even if I do get a moonbreon or other top chase, will I even want to sell it? And thus the endless cycle of questioning sell or hold continues once more…

Honestly, one of the most underrated alt arts for me is the Togepi, Cleffa and Igglybuff Tag Team from Cosmic Eclipse. The art is just so unique and vibrant, and I'm honestly surprised it's still relatively cheap compared to many Sword/Shield era cards, even as a promo.

The only cards that can surpass moonbreon are either another Umbreon, rayquaza, charizard, lugia, and in short one amazing alt art of one of the top 10 favorite pokemons in general, can't really see a card like that releasing tho, pokemon just covered amazing arts of those pokemons in recent years

XY era was the newest series considered “out of print” when the pandemic boom happened, most of these cards have super low population compared to modern sets which is why I would say I completely agree with this video. Even his modern era recommendations were excellent. That trio card is the rarest of all 10 of the trio cards. There can only be 268 sets of trio cards in a PSA 10 in the world.

I think you have a point on a lot of those old EX cards. The Alakazam is a pretty cool pokemon, and while it might not be everyone's #1 favorite, it could definitely inflate in value in the next 2 years. Great video.

Great video. Magikarp is doing great for growth, but I'm a Magikarp nut. But I believe the next big card will probably be out of the new Scarlet & Violet Era. Greninja EX is a beautiful card, but there are some pretty sweet artworks still to come out with very playable cards. But a lot of cards you mentioned do have some great potential in growing in price.

Honestly did not expect the number one spot but I couldn't agree more. That card is so beautiful and was the number one card I wanted the most since Cosmic Eclipse first came out. I just always thought the pokemon as statues was such a cool concept for an alternate art and goes with the statue of Dialga/Palkia in the main games (and the Arceus statue from Explorers of Sky if you know you know). My favorite card from the sun and moon era and I actually was lucky enough get a PSA 10 one from a trade recently. Also crazy the Rosa is the highest value card in the set still lol.

I feel like any kind of mega pokemon cards will get their well-deserved attention when Pokemon Legends Z-A gets a pokemon tcg set. Then the XY era mega cards will become throwback and climb up in value.

Love the channel! I’ve definitely noticed in past years that most of my chase cards came from nostalgia of the original 151. I think the recent art of the sword and shield and scarlet and violet has definitely changed my perspective on cards outside of the original 151.

I think the Greninja ex from Twilight Masquerade has the highest chances of being the card of the era, mainly because of a future set we're getting: Stellar Crown. That set gives a huge buff to Tera decks, and since Greninja ex is a Tera pokemon, it would also get this buff, making it that much more valuable. after that, it'll just be a hard card to obtain (I live in a small country, and in mine, there are only 3-4 copies of it, I own one and a friend of mine has the rest), so it makes sense to go up in price by a decent amount, lime the moonbreon did (although might not be as much as the moonbreaon).

Love the content although ive only seen a few videos so far. For me I love the Full arts from the XY era as that is when I got back into collecting. The promos from the XY era are also so sick. From the modern era one of my favourite arts is the Zapdos ex from 151 and the Mewtwo Vstar from Crown Zenith

Most likely I see giratina alt art from LO being next in line to moon. The art is amazing and it already is sitting at a pretty high price ungraded. I think the second half of SV cards will cause a bigger shift in the hype towards IRs and SIRs 🤔

Great video, it was really entertaining for me to watch. I personally believe that the top 2 cards with the most potential would be the Phantom Forces Dialga & the Lost Origins Giratina. I believe that Phantom Forces is a really strong set as well and will establish itself as the best set in the era, behind Flash Fire. I think the full art Gengar EX from that set also has really high potential. One set that I often see overlooked (that is also my favorite set of all time) is Pokékyun. My favorite era is XY and I feel like that set encapsulates the era perfectly. I feel like it's just a more stunning & beautiful version of Generations with infinitely better versions of the international hits, with it being the first edition of the set, though I believe the cards are so overlooked because you can't notice the beautiful textures of the cards online, only in person, which to me is the signature feature of what makes those cards so special. I can see the Pokékyun pikachu, sylveon, flareon full arts exploding, (Kanto & eeveelution tax) as well as both gardevoirs, however, I know Japanese cards aren't much sought after so I could see them not exploding as well. I find it really hard to find the big hits in true NM condition though, listings of cards in the set are already few and far between as is so I feel like the scarcity of the set is definitely notable. It's my favorite set and I can't wait to have a full binder of it. I just love radiant collection sets in general :)
