Got 17. My biggest issue is just that I don’t remember any of the names of the cities. Unlike with character themes, where i basically got 90% of them, since there’s actually reason to remember their names. And then there’s the routes, which I basically just guess based on how late I feel like I remember the song playing.

Oh lordie, you had me questioning my entire bank of childhood memories when you said Pewter City was the Pokemon Center lol There’s no way I would remember enough town names over the games to get anything EXACTLY right, so I just challenged myself to guess the generation, and I actually got 47 with those parameters!! Some with more detail than I thought I would remember, tbh (this is a water route but like hell do I remember what number, this was the town with the 5th gym that gen, etc) But I’m not a Poketuber :P

I'll take 35/50. As a rabid gen 5 fan it was mostly gen 5, but I got a lot of gens 2 and 3 as well. Gen 6 is tough since I haven't gone through the routes in a very long time and I can never remember the route numbers in gen 4 since the map loops back on itself.

it's a crime that only music from the main series games was used what happened to Mystery Dungeon or Orre Games? Yet somehow the new generation music gets used? At least Gladeon's Theme is a remix of Run Away Fugitives, yet that wasn't used either for some reason.

I think the most reasonable answer is however many battle themes there were plus 2 (for the Sinnoh Poke Mart and Laverre City). The only other non-battle theme I would've gotten is Anistar City since that actually sounds different than everything else, sounds like the perfect theme for a final dungeon or something.

Giorno Giovanna Theme as a bonus between 48 & 49! 5th Jojo's character theme is so good & memorable! I find Gens 5 onward harder to remember the music for because I have only had 10 years or less to memorize them. Snowpoint is forever something I will remember because I try to save my game in Diamond Dust there as often as I can. Ilex Forest counts for Ruins of Alph as it shares the same music. I have to admit it bothers me that none of the Mystery Dungeon Games had their music used.

I guessed the right gen on a couple, but it's so weird to me how all y'all can pinpoint the place in some cases. I would maybe be able to do that with 2 or 3 R/S town songs, and that's it. I really don't listen to music in games. I also stopped playing since Diamond, so I know no music from or past that game, despite beating it. I only know the R/S ones better because it's the only Pokémon game where I noticed and cared about the music. Verdanturf Town is still the most relaxing music in any OST of a game I've beaten.

How fitting since I first started Pokémon in Gen 5 and have never Completly finished a Kanto or Johto Region Game since I'm still just that same kid from Nuvema Town. Oh man alive, Every single town and City in Unova was completely unique and we've only ever seen something like in Galar. How fitting given the real world history between the U.S and the U.K. Man alive, just wait till he hears Lentimas Town, The Strange House, the Tubeline bridge, Marvalous Bridge, and Humilau City. Or Arcuus forbid Anvil Town which still to this day is the ONLY SINGLE COMPLETLY OPTIONAL TOWN IN ANY REGION!🤣

I missed 10 of them. I missed Once Upon a Time, Heahea (night), Pokémon Center (night), and Lilycove because it’s been a while since I heard those themes so I didn’t recognize them. I missed Canalave, Sandgem, Evergrande, and Pewter because I mistook them for other themes being Rowan’s Lab, Jubilife, Route 104, and Saffron respectively. (At least I didn’t mistake Pewter for the Pokémon Center lol) I missed National Park because it was on the tip of my tongue and couldn’t get the answer out so I gave up. I KNEW Petalburg, had the image of Norman’s gym and Wally’s house in my head and everything, but I didn’t think before I said it out loud and blurted out Rustboro.

But seriously the fact that this is piano was a major screw up for my ability to recognize themes because most of the games have a super recognizable sound front but the melody itself isn't so much. Plus like, unova is difficult for me but I found the real gap in my knowledge was johto. I don't know like any of the town themes. He said it was the kanto pokecenter I had thought it was pewter and I was so sure he was right I thought I was going to be embarrassed but it seems like he was the one to get owned.
