UPDATE: I took the car to US AC compressor and they confirmed my car only had 17oz of refrigerant. It performed remarkably well all things considered, but they got it properly filled and double checked my work while they were at it. This car is AMAZING to drive now.

For some reason i don't have ground at the pressure switch connector. Then i follow the manual and says to check the evaporator sensor do you know what side and what it looks like? Thanks.
@DirtSweatGears3 ай бұрын
@@klemenzfreyr2106 it sounds like it’s describing the temp sensor in the evaporator. You should be able to reach the wire harness for it under the dash. But the sensor itself will be tough to check without pulling the evaporator. No big deal if you don’t have any refrigerant In the system. Probably check the wire harness for continuity, if that looks good you’ll have to pull the evaporator box, open it up and test the thermo. It’s the part that sticks into the fins. You can message me on Instagram and I can find some screenshots of what to look for

@@DirtSweatGears Problem is that I have a green light on the a/c button but my fans don't come on. they are telling me to check that evaporator sensor connector for power and ground. After I ruled out that I don't have ground to the pressure switch connector. I do have power tho.

Dude, I’m having a hard time finding the correct adapter fittings. Specifically the high side port. Amazon kits have the same thread for both ports. On my car, the cap on the high side says M10x1.25 and I guess that would be 3/8”? Am I missing something? What size fittings did you use? Thank you for the long comprehensive videos!

I think I got mine from O'Reilly. I had a similar problem with Amazon garbage so I decided to try the local parts stores because returning and trying something else is much easier. I did notice that on the low side, the adapter came with its own valve, but on the high side it used the original valve.

@@1988preludee yeah I thought about maybe adding a cabin filter but I don’t have the time right now. Taking the cowl off is kind of a pain but it would be worth doing once every few years to change a filter.
