Them prison workouts wild!! It be ALOT of prisoners that go in scrawny & they come out JACKED!!! They should look into being personal trainers for real. That's a way for them to make legit money when getting out of prison.

thanks for the video. I started my training last year. realized i had very little strength. I started with push ups. realized i needed to build a stronger base. I saw prison workout and wanted to do what they did. I want to do the 10x10 workout with 10 sets of 10 reps of pull up , push ups, dips and squats. Still can't do the dips with my bodyweight. I still can do pull ups with my body. so i practice on the lat pull down machine to build the muscles for the pull ups. for the dips, i am doing lots triceps extensions and chest presses on the machines. I can now finally squats as my calves and legs were not strong to keep me balance. I am 190 so i know i need to drop the weight to be able to do the pull ups. I started on the lat machine at 70 pounds, three months in, i am at 160 now. almost there bro. burpees is a problem for me. I can squat and do the push ups but my core weak so i can push out my legs when I get to the squat position to do the push up. getting there. how did you deal with the toes issue. My toes hurt when push out my legs. is there a special shoe i should were to prevent pain. thanks for the motivation brother. I am training to keep my family safe in case there is a situation. 53 now, should have started long time ago. lol

I can do 10 pull-ups, and I weigh 181lbs-just 9 pounds less than you. You just need to grow stronger back muscles. It’s not your weight holding you back. Try doing negative pull-ups in which you jump to the top of the pull-up and slowly lower yourself down. That’s how I trained to do them. Eventually, you will be able to hold the positions instead of slowing lowering. Isometrics are the way to go! Pull-ups aren’t just back muscles; it’s a skill. I went from 0 pull-ups 2 years ago to now 10 pull-ups. Now I’m working on the muscle up! I don’t even practice doing a lot of pull-ups anymore because I just hold various positions for 20 to 30 seconds. I can hold any position in the range of a pullup motion for 30 to 40 seconds.

@flexgod2579 I love the basics. It's way too easy to get caught up in all of the gimmicks. It's a great idea to return to the basics...often. This video helped me remember that. It is time for me to go home. Also, you never see anyone pulling their stomach in when flexing anymore. That's some old-school Arnold era stuff, nice.

I don't know what their crimes are, but the workout they do, they can offer it to the public, to have a purpose and sense for responsibility. Offering prison workout style to the public, they can have a class to teach 2x a week, and that maybe contributes to their punishment in a positive way. Just an idea. Other prisons have a band or theatre group, a workout group would be something else. I personally can't stand ordinary gym workout, and would like to have a NAVY/Prison style kind of workout routine. Having contact to the outside, may contributes to "recover".

How they gain muscles when food is poor ?
@j.westbestoftherest91023 ай бұрын
😂 How developed mankind muscles when there are many years of malnutrition? ... Because you don`t need excellent Food to build muscles mate. Sufficient is enough. Everthing beyond maintenance will be put into muscles if you force your body to.
@Dewprism4273 ай бұрын
I agree with the above comment but another thing you should take into consideration (I know from experience on multiple units) is that food isn't always poor depending on the prison you're doing time in. Also there is commissary (a store) where you can spend actual money on your books to buy food and other stuff. Some prisons even let you work and make a small wage that you can spend on commissary. There are also many prisons in the US that let your family send a monthly care package with food and other things in it. I've done time in New York, Texas, Florida, Kentucky, and Louisiana. So just my two cents.
@Dewprism4273 ай бұрын
Oh one more thing. Don't goto prison. The real world is much better. Prison can mess you up in the head. It changes you. If you want to know why a lot of dudes get swole in prison, it's because there is a psychological impact on the brain, and it causes many to reach into the depths of themselves and pull out that survival instinct. Such a huge impact on the mind, day in day out, for years and years will change you if you let it. It will make you stronger physically, more driven to exercise, you will be hungry constantly because that instinct wants to become a dominant force in order to be feared by others, or respected. This mentality doesn't leave you when you're released, it stays with you, and it makes it hard to have relationships with regular people. It takes a long time to get back to normal psychologically.
