It's a great idea to fille something in some thing that can be used but: -It's hard to squeeze(you can't) and control the amount -Too much space ,because the density needed for it to be not fragile -You're literaly carrying a brick -Too much work to make it into powder -Too slipery (not recommended in puplic bathroom) =)

Also recycled plastic has less defined material properties and cannot really be used in high strength mechanical parts and such and may become brittle as well. Brands should recycle their manufactured containers directly from the customers. Brands should give certain points if customers Return the used bottles. Customer will start recycling containers in order to get points or certain amount off on next purchase . This can solve the problems of shampoo and other product containers waste problems.

Here’s is the major problem with this surprisingly useful idea. This product is not scalable. Plastic bottles are the best material to be used as a packaging material, because it is light weight and easy to store. One of the major costs for any manufacturing companies is inventory and storage costs. While producing shampoo, the plastics are stored ready in a small compact form called as a preform, which is then blow moulded to the full size bottle and filled with shampoo. The other way is for it to be stored as pellets which is then extrusion blow moulded. This makes it incredibly cheap and efficient in terms of inventory management. With this idea, you will need to have both the shampoo and the soap ready and stored. Soap Is much more dense and takes up a lot more space and it is much heavier than plastic. Might be much more expensive than simply buying a shampoo and a soap separately. Imagine if there was an order for a 1000 shampoo bottles, I’m pretty sure, this idea would work wonderfully. But if there was an order for a million or tens of million of bottles as it usually is, you will have to have tonnes of soap ready to be packed. This would take up a much larger area to be stored when compared to plastics. (It’s not often that you get the same amount of order for both shampoo and soap) Not to mention the environmental impacts of having a larger warehouse. You can argue that it delivers both products in one go, but it makes the manufacturing process much more complicated and expensive because of the reasons mentioned above. Plastic is the best material, we just have to find a way to efficiently dispose of it.

High time the plastic is recycled maximum.In many villages,the roads are not tarred,the plastic can be reused to form a layer on mud road ,similar to tarring.These plastic covered roads last for long time and we will not face the potholes problems too.Also plastic bricks (made from recycled plastic) should be encouraged in small constructions like shades,small shanty ,storehouses etc

I have been cleaning and saving every single piece of plastic we use that cannot be recycled for more than a year now. I jam it into very large plastic bags that rock salt and lawn products come it. I really stuff it into those bags. Am hoping I can find a place to send it all some day where it can be converted into gasoline or power rather than just going to the landfill. I'd like to make an exhibit of all my plastic trash. Dump it out into a large see-through container or space so people can see just how much plastic trash two people make in one year. People just throw away all this plastic, never once giving where it all goes after discarding it.
