Sprinkle Diotomaceous Earth all around your gear boxes inside and outside the bins. It’s natural and won’t hurt animals but kills all sorts of bugs. It’s super fine and it will wkor amazing.

We use dump carts for harvesting peanuts. If you do overload it you can use your pay loader to " help" lift it. You have to be careful but it will work and is way easier than a shovel.

We have a dump cart for silage chopping… we had fluid in the right tires (it dumps to the left) usually the silage truck catches it but we dumped it at the end of the season without the truck and tipped it over and bent some steel… so we added 500 lbs of John Deere weights to it and don’t have that problem angmore

These Larson Farms vids are among the best of the best when it comes to really explaining how stuff around the farm works. My favorite part is the high pitched voice yelling LOL. Every time you guys do it, I laugh like it's the first time I've heard it.

Good stuff guys as usual. As a wannabe farmer since I helped out at my uncle Stan’s farm in packenham Ontario. I learned so much up there. How to drive a tractor, how to drive a pickup, 3 speed on the column. My pops sent me up there every summer when I was a young lad. I’m 70 now and I got to tell you, the best days of my life..

I can’t stress enough to all of you how much I enjoy these videos. I live in South Jersey and spent 44 years in the printing industry and now I’m retired. I sit on my patio with a morning coffee and get entertained by you. (You are also educating me about farming). I particularly enjoy the back and forth ribbing that you give each other.😂

I know you like to dump on the go but if you are that concerned with auger damage, why not put a truck at each end and just dump directly into it? We used dump carts like that to open our lands when harvesting processing tomatoes. Put some wheel weights or front weights from a tractor on the off side and that will help a lot.

Thanks for another great video Chet, lots of jobs going on. Different type jobs I would say. A. You got the bat wing mower put away ok out of the weather until you decide to fix it or replace it. Since the new gear box is so expensive, how about a new one or possibly finding a good used one to use. Just some suggestions. Zach Johnson was able to find a decent used one. Was in good shape. B. The black bean dump cart. That will take some getting used to. Dumps over the side. Has no augers. I can imagine that the hopper is kind of tipping once raised up. Be careful with that cart. Knowing all of you , you will be safe when using it. Looking forward to seeing it in action. C. The grain bin gear box with tons of bugs and bad smells. Oh my. Hang in there Brodie and Chet!!!!! Lots of re-fitting to do I guess to make the new gear case fit. Lots of bugs 🐛 also they were not helping. Don’t think Chet liked the bugs. Sounds like they got it fixed and working-yeah!!!!!!!’ Dougo had a road trip to get new tracks for a tractor???? Don’t know for sure as I didn’t hear them say what they were for except they were expensive. Had three checkbook along. Busy day for all of them. Oh my. Guess that is it unless I missed something. You all take care and be safe. Harvest season will start soon. The Iowa farm boy. Steve. 😊👍✅🌽🇺🇸🇺🇸
