I love that they integrated Sam's Chinese tradition of tea offering to the parents/grandparents/elders in the marriage ceremony, and Casey's western tradition of offering of gifts. Such a great blend of both backgrounds! May Sam & Casey grow old together and be together forever!! ❤❤❤

Every gay wedding I’ve attended breaks my heart. At age 75 I was at the battle front of Gay Liberation so many decades ago and on the front line of the early days of the AIDS epidemic. How it thrills me to know this is now possible but here I sit, self indulgent tears running down my face because it’s too late for me. I missed the boat I helped push out into the water.

I work in a personal care home where two of our residents - both over the age of 90 - found each other and got married. They may not have long left on this earth, and may both be wheelchair bound (necessitating extra care) but they are happy and so very in love.

the hardest thing in life is learning to accept yourself and be open to others. I don't know you and feel weird to give such personal advice but I hope you have someone you could trust to talk it out in figuring out how to deal with that situation because every family and situation is different and if you could have a friend to lean on that'd be great. Usually the lgbt communities help :) the main thing is making sure you're safe, to have a haven if you need it. know that a lot of people accept you though ♡ as is, just as you are...not sure if this'll reach or help u but wishing u the best. cuz you deserve it gl and know you do deserve happiness, by your own definition ♡
