Something else to note she says in the video the bezels won’t be as big as they look here. The “screen” she had on hand wasn’t 8 inches but it was all she had at the time so she used it which makes the bezels look bigger.

@@kuso7558 Maybe bit the Switch lasts as long and in some cases longer then a Steam Deck, because it’s using ARM which is much more efficient then X86. But hopefully the Switch 2 will last longer, and the Steam Deck 2 when it comes out will also.

I kinda feel like 7 or 7.5 would be perfect, but once I play on the 8, I'm sure I'll like it. Hopefully it isn't too heavy or awkward to hold up. I'll also get aftermarket joy cons that have a D pad... even more weight... I am excited for this though. 1080 handheld with 4k on tv with Nintendo level art and resolution tricks.... gonna be great!

The theory is that the console might actually be able to stream to the dock, meaning DS, 3DS and Wii U titles could be played with two screens and that's what the 'C' button is AKA 'Connect'.

I think an 8" display is pushing it a little. Theres a reasons the original joycons are so small. Nintendo reaches a broader demographic than any other gaming manufacturer. They reach the ages of the younger generation as well as the older. My personal opinion, would a 8" display and bigger joycons fit better in my hands...absolutely. But 7" was the sweetspot between the younger kiddo's, and the adults.

The statement about the switch being mostly used by kids is actually factually wrong. Nintendo released a slide about a year ago pointing out that 80% of its switch user base is 18+ and a lot is 30+. It’s marketed towards family being able to play together but it’s a lot of adults that are purchasing and playing this console.
